Kesar Penda, the gold standard of Indian sweets? Saffron Milk Peda/Penda recipe
How to make Kesar Penda (Indian Saffron Milk Sweet)
Soft and creamy Kesar Penda (Kesar Peda) are a golden yellow sweet made from milk, sugar and saffron. Each bite will melt in your mouth! They’re perfect for special occasions and gifting.
Rakshabandhan is but a few days away from now and Kesar Penda are Brother.Feasts’s favourite Indian mithai. Indeed, these are the ultimate Indian sweets for Diwali, Eid, Vaisakhi and just about any other festival you can think of. These dainty little buttons of milk dough and saffron are full of beautiful flavours and colours.
What are Penda (Peda)?
While the name can vary depending on region and local dialect, Penda (also known as Doodh Peda, Pedha and Pera) are essentially a sweet made with milk (milk solids to be more specific) and sugar. From the milk and sugar base, the flavour of the Penda is open to wherever your imagination takes you. my version is a quick Penda recipe with Paneer. It takes only a few minutes to cook so you can get on with your day and come back to it later.

Honey Butter Popcorn (with Seaweed Crisps) Recipe
I thought I'd give shooting in the evenings a try! :) I hope you like it!
Tonight we're making some simple Honey Butter Popcorn! And then we'll top it off with some crispy seaweed =P~ Let's get to it!
HONEY BUTTER POPCORN
Corn Kernels
Honey
Butter
Seaweed sheet
Salt (to taste)
Really, there are no measurements in this recipe!
You can make as much popcorn as you want, and make it as sweet/salty/buttery as you want!
In one pot, start melting your butter on medium-low heat. Add in the honey, and stir until incorporated.
Heat in another pot enough (vegetable) oil to cover the entire surface.
Place a couple kernels to start, and then place the lid on; once they pop, then you're ready to pour in the rest of your kernels.
Shake the pot while the kernels are popping so none burn.
Once the frequency of pops decrease, kill the flame (while continuing to shake the pot).
Once you get around 2-2.5 seconds of delay in between pops, you'll know it's ready to pour into your serving bowl.
Season with salt, and then pour in your honey + melted butter mixture.
For your seaweed sheet, if it's a seasoned sheet then chances are it's already crispy so start tearing it apart.
If it's not crispy (yet), then you can run it through (very quickly) an open gas flame several times. Then tear into small pieces.
Sprinkle this on top of your popcorn.
And then dig in! Enjoy!! :)
