How To make Scallion Biscuits
3/4 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Double-acting baking powder
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
2 tb Cold unsalted butter, cut
-into bits 1/4 c Minced scallion, including
-the green part 1/3 c Plain yogurt
Into a bowl sift together the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, the salt, and freshly ground pepper to taste and blend in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in the scallion and the yogurt and combine the mixture until it just forms a soft, sticky dough. Droop the dough by heaping tablespoonsfuls onto a buttered baking sheet and bake the biscuits in the middle of a preheated 425F oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are

Cheddar Scallion Biscuits || Easy Biscuit Recipe || Biscuits in 15 minutes
Ingredients
All purpose flour- 1.25 cups
Baking soda- 1/2 tsp
Baking powder- 1.25 tsp
Salt- 1/2 tsp
Sugar-1/2 tsp
Cold unsalted butter- 4 tbsp
Grated cheddar cheese- 1/2 cup
Chopped Scallions- 1/2 cup
Butter milk- 1/2 cup
In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
Then add cold diced unsalted butter ( to get flaky biscuits). Work with finger tips to get pea size crumbs. Do this process gently and soft. Then add grated cheddar cheese and chopped scallions and toss them between.
In the center add 1/3 cup of butter milk. Stir to mix the butter milk with crumbs. Do not over mix.
Flour the counter top or board and just roll the mixture about 1-1.5 inch thick. Using biscuit cutter cut the biscuits and place in a baking tray.
Bake them in preheated oven for 10 minutes at 450 degrees F. When they turns golden and puffed up takeout and serve! Enjoy the biscuit cloud by trying this recipe.
NOTE: use a light hand from over working on dough.
