How To make Short Ribs with Kraut
Short Ribs Sauerkraut
Jar Or Plastic Granny Smith Apple Onion Garlic Caraway seeds Brown Sugar :
optional
Sorry about the lack of measurements. This can be done in the crockpot, oven or on top of the stove.
Parbroil the ribs.
Drain the kraut and rinse under cold water. Slice the apple and onion; mince the garlic. Mix the kraut, apple, onion, garlic, caraway seeds and brown sugar (if using) together. Put in a large baking dish and top with ribs. Bake until the apple and onion are tender. If using a crockpot, mix all ingredients together and cook on low for about 8 hours. If doing on top of the stove, mix all together and simmer covered over medium-low heat until the apples and onions are tender.

Pork Ribs and Sauerkraut Crockpot Recipe - How to - DIY - Eat IN!
A staple dish in my family.
Ingredient list
2 Racks of bone-in pork ribs with the silver skin removed and cut into 4(ish) bone per piece sizes
Your favorite sauerkraut (if you don't have a favorite; get one, grow up)
garlic salt
pepper
paprika (smoked or not)
beer (or not)
If you don't know how to remove silver skin; watch the video it's in the first few minutes and super easy - don't skip this step - you'll thank me later.
Dust the Ribs with your favorite seasoning and stand the ribs up in the crockpot with the bone side facing the outside of the crockpot - stack any remaining slabs in the middle and pile on your kraut - dump a little beer in there too if you want. Or your favorite broth.
Crockpot on low for up to 8ish hours or high for at least 3ish hours - the longer the better.
Your ribs covered in kraut will be very krauty (duh!) the standing ribs not so much - picky people won't be bothered by it.
