How To make Spinach (Korean Sigumchi Namul)
1 lb Fresh spinach
3 tb Soy sauce
2 tb Sesame oil
1 tb Sesame seeds
1 ea Clove garlic, crushed
1 tb Sugar
1 tb White vinegar
Dash pepper 1. Wash the spinach. Steam until just tender and still green. Strain and
squeeze out as much water as possible. Cut spinach very coarsely. 2. Combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, garlic, sugar, vinegar

80g spinach, washed
I keep the stems on. You can do all leaves if you don’t like eating stems.
15 pinches of salt
¼ tsp (1ml) garlic, minced
½ tsp (2.5ml) sesame oil
½ tsp (2.5ml) dry roasted, white sesame seeds

SIGEUMCHI NAMUL ????
Sigeumchi Namul is a popular Korean veggie side dish made with boiled spinach, and tossed with fresh garlic, green onions, sesame oil and toasted sesame seeds. Vanessa recommends mixing the ingredients together with her favorite kitchen tool: your hands! Get all of the details for this recipe below, and enjoy.
Serves 8 as a side dish
INGREDIENTS
2 lbs of fresh spinach, cleaned & drained
water for boiling
4 cloves of fresh garlic, chopped
4 green onions, chopped
2-3 tablespoons of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of roasted sesame seeds
salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
BLANCH the spinach in boiling hot water, drain, and rinse with cold water or ice bath.
SQUEEZE the water out of the spinach in batches and drain.
ADD the remaining ingredients to the spinach, using the salt and sesame oil to taste
ENJOY immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy within five days.
