Steamed Spinach Rolls with Fish & Prawns
Here's the recipe for the Spinach Rolls
Ingredients:
Spinach - around 6 (big leaves recommended)
Prawns - 4 ( deshelled, medium size)
Fish - 80g (take fish which have more flesh)
Cabbage - 25g (or any other vegetable of your choice)
Green chilli -1 or 2 (depending on your preference)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Glass of water to boil - according to the size of the pot
1) Wash the spinach leaves and cut off the stem and keep it aside
2) Roughly cut the fish, prawns, green chili and cabbage as it's easier to grind
3) Add salt and pepper according to your preference
4) Take a spinach leaf and spread the paste on back of the leaf as it's easier to roll. You may spread more or less depending on the size of the leaf
5) In a medium-sized pot, boil some water and add salt (and pepper, if you prefer) so that the leaves would also get a good flavor
6) Place a strainer (or you may use a steamer) on top of the boiling water
7) Lower the heat and carefully place the spinach rolls on the strainer/steamer
8) Steam for 5 - 7 minutes or until the leaves look steamed. (The duration may vary according to the heat as well as the pot & the steamer you use)
9) Don't steam for too long as the paste would get dried up
10) Switch off the stove and carefully take the rolls out,
11) Serve hot
Tip: You may enjoy them with tomato sauce, Thai dipping sauce or any dipping sauce of your choice
