Strawberry Margarita Punch

This strawberry margarita punch is so refreshing and downright addictive. It never last long whenever I make this stuff. I normally make it in the summertime but I just had to have me a pitcher of this stuff to go along with all the appetizers I've been making. It's great for any occasion. I've never made this without alcohol before but I'm sure it would be just as delicious.

Sparkling Strawberry Punch and Strawberry Roses
This is my favorite punch. It is refreshing, sweet and easy to make - the perfect drink for hot summer! Strawberry is full of antioxidants and has many health benefits. Please adjust the sweetness level if you are concerned about sugar. Make this refreshing drink for your family. It can also be served at birthday party, holiday party and any special occasions.
STRAWBERRY SYRUP: 2 cups strawberry puree from fresh/ frozen strawberry 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup water ¼ cup sliced ginger (ratio of strawberries puree: sugar: water is 2:1:1)
STRAWBERRY PUNCH: 50% strawberry syrup 50% sparkling water or unsweetened carbonated soda Ice Strawberry for garnish (optional)
1. Puree the washed and hulled fresh strawberries. 2. In a large saucepan, bring strawberries puree, sugar, ginger and water to a boil and then simmer at low heat for 15 min. Please use a big saucepan and keep an eye when cooking the syrup, it can overflow easily. 3. Remove the pan from heat and let it cool to room temperature. 4. Strain cooled syrup through a strainer and extract as much liquid as possible. Let it cool down completely and store in the fridge. The syrup will last for a week. (I usually make a large batch at one time) 5. When ready to serve, mix the punch and enjoy!
Notes: Use ripe strawberries for the syrup and follow the ratio of the syrup based on the strawberry puree. I love ginger, so I usually add a lot. If you dislike ginger, just skip it. For sparkling water, I use San Pellegrino Sparkling Mineral Water. It comes in small bottles so the bubbles are fresh. For adults, rum or sparkling wine can also be added. Please adjust the sweetness to your preference.
