How To make Swedish Chocolate Cake
1 c Shortening
1 1/2 c Sugar
3 Eggs
2 oz Baking chocolate
-(unsweetened), melted 2 c Cake flour
2 t Baking powder
1 t Salt
1/4 t Baking soda
1 c Cream, heavy
2 t Vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Butter a Bundt pan and sprinkle with about 2 T dry bread crumbs, until it is well-coated. This makes a much better
crust than flour does. In a large bowl, add the sugar to the shortening and cream well. Blend in the eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Stir in the melted chocolate. Sift together the dry ingredients. Combine the cream and vanilla extract. Add to the chocolate mixture alternately with the dry ingredients, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 50-60 minutes. Cool the cake in the pan a few minutes before removing. NOTES: * A rich chocolate Bundt cake -- I got this recipe from my mom, who got it from an American book called Swedish Baking. I like to make this because it does not need to be frosted, which makes it an easy dessert. Yield: one Bundt cake. * This is not an authentic Swedish recipe because their flour is different enough to cause problems in baking. Swedish Sticky Chocolate Cake (Kladdkaka)
FULL RECIPE:
Here is what you'll need!
Swedish Sticky Chocolate Cake (Kladdkaka )
INGREDIENTS
1⅓ cup sugar
2 eggs
½ cup flour
¼ cup cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
½ cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon vanilla
Butter
Cocoa powder
Powdered sugar
Berries (optional)
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
In a medium bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs until the mixture is pale yellow in color.
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Fold until incorporated.
Mix in the butter and vanilla.
Grease a pan with butter and sprinkle cocoa powder to coat.
Pour in batter and smooth out. Batter will be very thick.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the top has hardened. The center should still be soft.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Enjoy with berries or alone!

Swedish Daim Chocolate Layer Cake
I first tried this sort of cake in ikea, then at a coffee shop which I was told used store-bout so I went to the frozen section at the supermarket and I thought, well, why not try to make this at home!
First of all, the daim chocolate bar is delicious! That thin, crunchy but snappy toffee covered in milk chocolate is delicious, so to build a cake around this is rather genius!
There are 3 elements in this cake, the sponge cake (some people use almond flour, I went for ground hazelnut for extra flavour!), the creamy custard buttercream layer and the daim chocolate glaze.
All layers have to be the right size for all components to stand out.
