How To make Wednesday's Chili
MM BY H. PEAGRAM:
GLORIA PITZERS SECRET RECIPE:
1 1/2 lb Ground round
2 tb Corn oil
1/2 ts Salt
1 cn Onion soup, 10 oz
1 tb Chili powder
2 ts Cumin powder
1/2 ts Pepper
21 oz Kidney beans, undrained
1 cn Tomato paste, 6 oz
1 cn Tomato sauce, 8 oz
Heat oil in 10" skillet, add crumbled beef, sprinkle with salt. Pack beef firmly in pan, cover, cook over low heat for 20 min. Put onion soup thru blender for 1 min., add to beef, mashing with fork till it looks like rice. Simmer, covered another 5 min. Add chili powder, cumin, pepper. Transfer to a 3 qt pot, add kidney beans, tomato paste and sauce. Heat for another 20 min to allow spices to blend. Gloria Pitzer's Secret Recipe for Wendy's Chili

Recipe Wednesday! Come along with me and cook some yummy meals! Today we are making Chili! I love making chili and cornbread on a Sunday, a football Sunday especially! 
Gadgets:
Dutch oven pot or a nice big pot
Baking pan
Grocery List:
Box of cornbread plus what’s needed to make it (our favorite is Fleischmann’s Simply Homemade cornbread)
Maple syrup (optional if you want to make a dip)
Butter (optional if you want to make a dip)
Sea salt (optional if you want to make a dip)
1 pound Ground beef or Turkey
Carrots
Green pepper
Onion
Canned tomatoes (I like fire roasted)
Canned tomato sauce
Canned tomato paste
Kidney beans
Baking soda, optional to cut acidity
Water 6ounces (**NOTE I forgot to mention it in my voice over- add it when adding tomatoes)
Spices-
Chili powder
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Cumin
Paprika
Chipotle powder
Cayenne pepper
Salt
White pepper
Cheese (optional for topping)
Sour cream or plain Greek yogurt (optional for topping)
Recipe I follow for the most part, I make some tweaks! (Note- I cut this recipe in half!)

Chili With a New Twist!

pinto bean and butternut squash chili:
Ingredients:
* 1.5 cups chopped onions
* 2.5 cups chopped red bell pepper
* 1 minced clove of garlic
* 1 tbsp oil
* 1 lb ground turkey (optional)
* 2 tbsp taco seasoning (or chili powder)
* 2 cups diced butternut squash
* 2-3 cups cooked pinto beans
* 1 can of corn, drained
* 1 can of diced tomatoes
* 1 can of diced green chilies, undrained
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add onions and red bell peppers and cook until they soften, about 5 minutes.
2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
3. If using, add the ground turkey and cook until it's browned and cooked through.
4. Add the taco seasoning or chili powder and stir to coat the ingredients.
5. Add the diced butternut squash, cooked pinto beans, drained corn, diced tomatoes, and undrained green chilies to the pot. Stir to combine.
6. Bring the chili to a simmer and cook until the butternut squash is tender, about 20-30 minutes.
7. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
Note: The original recipe is intended for a crockpot, but this recipe has been modified for stovetop cooking.

WILDGAME WEDNESDAY EP: 4 BISON CHILI
In this video we create a simple yet delicious Deer “Venison” Breakfast Casserole!
Recipe:
1 Pound: Ground Bison
1 Can of Tomato Paste
1 Can of Petite Diced Tomatoes
1 Can of Kidney Beans (drained)
1 Onion Diced
2 1/2 Table Spoons of Chili Powder
2 Table Spoons of Cumin
1 Table Spoon of Garlic Powder
1/2 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
1/4 Teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper Powder
Directions:
1). Brown meat in medium sauce pan. Pour in Onions to soften (drain grease)
2). Mix all dry ingredients together
3). Pour contents of cans into large pot, put dry mixture in as well.
4). Once meat is cooked and onions soft pour into large pot.
5). Allow it to simmer for 1 hour. (May need to add water).
