How To make Holiday Honey Doughnuts
1 pk Yeast
2 tb Water
2 tb Honey
2 c Flour
1/2 ts Salt
2 tb Butter
1 Egg
1/4 c Milk
Vegetable oil Honey Nut Filling
Dissolve yeast in warm water; stir in honey. Combine flour and salt; blend butter. Add yeast mixture, egg and milk to form a soft dough. Beat well and knead 5 minutes on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise in a warm place about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk. Deep-fry in 350 F oil 2 to 3 minutes or until browned on both sides; turn dough over halfway through cooking time. Drain on paper towels. Slit one side of doughnut and fill each with 2 to 3 teaspoons Honey Nut Filling. Honey Nut Filing: Combine 1/4 cup each chopped dried apricots, apples and walnuts; stir in 2 tablespoons honey and mix well. Makes 3/4 cup. Serving tip: Serve with honey to drizzle on filled doughnuts.

The doughnut (or donut if you prefer) might just be a round thing but it's way more versatile than you might think. Just check these out! Super Cute Christmas Animal Doughnuts! Once you have mastered the basics, there is no end to your possible animalisations! (that's a word, right?)
Recipe:
140g soft unsalted butter
110g caster sugar
2 lg eggs
215g plain flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
120g buttermilk
To decorate:
about 150-200g each of melted Milk and White chocolate + superwhite powder (add a tiny amount of cocoa butter to keep it looser)
Sugarpaste/modelling paste in various colours
Edible paint or food colour gel mixed with a little alcohol

Vanilla Custard Cream Donuts Recipe ( Doughnut Recipe ) Learn how to make donuts that are melt in your mouth and filled with a luscious custard cream !

Homemade Custard Donuts Recipe ( In the video you see me using 2 eggs because I doubled the recipe ) :
- 280 gr of All Purpose Flour ( 2 cups + 3 tbsp flour)
- 40 gr Sugar ( 3 tbsp)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 egg
- 120 gr Whole Milk ( 1/2 cup )
- 40 gr melted Butter ( 1/3 stick )
- 7 gr Dry Yeast ( 1 packet )
If you're making this dough by hand, because it's quite sticky here's the right tecnique for kneading this dough by hand:
NOTE: I used a 7 1/2 cm ( 3 inch ) cookie cutter and fried 3-4 donuts at a time. If you choose to make larger donuts use a bigger pan OR fry only 2 donuts at a time.
Vanilla Custard :
- 660 gr Whole Milk ( 2 2/3 cup )
- 3 WHISKED medium Eggs ( I like using whole eggs. The egg yolks add richness, while the egg whites add a beautiful glossy shine to your custard ) Whisk the eggs well before adding them to the milk mixture.
- 180 gr Sugar ( 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp )
- 5 tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
