1 cup sliced almonds for decorating
Directions:
Combine the heavy cream, amaretto, almond extract and salt in a Copper Skillet. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted. Refrigerate the chocolate mixture until it sets, at least 4 hours. It will be a very firm ganache. Scoop out a chunk of the ganache and shape into a flattened cone. Starting at the base of the cone, insert the pointed ends of almond slices into the chocolate, working in circles to create a pine cone. Serve at room temperature.

How to Make Mini Pinecone Cakes
A fun project for the kids! All you need is left over cake (or you can bake up some cupcakes for the project instead), some buttercream, ganache (optional), piping bags and a 104 and 67 (or 352) piping tips. These can make for some stunning party favours or individual style cakes :) I would just make sure that your buttercream is yummy, as there is lots of it for this design haha!
For the buttercream, I recommend:
400 grams unsalted butter
400 grams vegetable shortening (replace with the same amount of unsalted butter if you don't want to use this)
1.6kg icing sugar
2 tsp vanilla
3 to 5 tablespoons milk
For the ganache, I like to use 1 part heavy cream and 2 parts dark chocolate. For example, 100 grams heavy cream and 200 grams dark chocolate.

Pine Cone Brownies ???? (gluten-free, vegan, paleo)
These brownies are seriously the cutest and make such a fun dessert to share around the holidays ???? They are pretty easy to make, and you can use a boxed brownie mix to save some time! I made mine gluten, dairy, egg, and refined sugar-free because I have food sensitivities ????
Save and follow for more fun, healthier holiday recipes ❤️
Ingredients:
• Fudhey Brownie mix of choice(or you can make it from scratch)
• Sliced almonds(If you can't do almonds, use cereal flakes instead)
• 9 oz chocolate chips
• 1 tsp coconut oil
• Powdered sugar or powdered monk fruit
Directions:
1) Make your brownie mix accordingly to the instructions(make sure to not over bake them so they will be somewhat gooey in the middle and easy to work with) Bake your brownie mix and then let it cool down for a few minutes.
2) Take the baked brownie mixture and form into about 12 cone shapes.(kinda like you would a cake pop!)
3) Place the almond slices in and around the brownie cones(carefully because they are fragile), making the pine cone look full with scales.
4) Place the pine cones on a parchment paper lined sheet pan, and stick in the freezer for 30 minutes.
5) Melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil by heating in a bowl in the microwave in 30-second increments.(Or use a double boiler).
6) Take the pine cones out of the freezer and carefully coat each one with the melted chocolate. Place the pine cone brownies back on the parchment paper to set.
7) Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top for a frosted look and enjoy!
Note: If your brownies didn't turn out as soft, try crumbling them and mixing with a little bit of frosting like yoy would a cake pop ????
