Place pan over high heat; bring to boil, stirring continuously; at once, stir in liquid fruit pectin; bring to a full rolling boil; boil hard for 1 minutes, stirring continuously; remove kettle from heat. Skim off foam with a metal spoon; pour quickly into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/2 inch head space; seal with melted paraffin wax; cover with clean lids. Homemade strawberry jam | How to make Strawberry Apple jam | Homemade Strawberry apple jam [#25]
Strawberry Apple Jam contains pieces of partially broken down fruit (chunks) cooked with sugar. Great combo with bread or even with any wraps. Kids favorite jam!!!
INGREDIENTS
1.Strawberry - 800 gm
2. Apple(small) - 2 No.
3. Light brown sugar - 1 Cup
4. Lime juice - 1 tbsp
5. Salt a pinch
TIPS
Selecting Fruits
1. Well ripe fruits reduces the usage of sugar and it naturally helps the jam to set due to sugar (pectin) content.
2. Adding sweet apple is also great idea to reduce the sugar.
3. If planning to use only Strawberry you may need to add 1 1/2 cup of sugar depending on the sweetness in strawberry
FOAM
1. These are airy bubbles which form on top. Sometimes it’s less or more.
2.Keep stirring on one direction to avoid too much foam
3. Foam (Scum) is not harmful but if planning to store jam for longer period of time you may need to remove it as it may reduces the shelf life.
Notes:
1. Leave about 1/2” head space while filling the jam in glass container (Do not fill till top)
2. Preferably cook in stainless steel pan and use clean wooden spoon.
3. Always be careful to take jam with dry spoon and not to leave the spoon inside the container after using.

Homemade Strawberry Jam
Making homemade strawberry jam is quite simple and you can even use frozen strawberries. This means that you can make it all year long, even when strawberries aren’t in season. I also love that this jam isn’t cloyingly sweet, since I use significantly less sugar than most recipes call for.

Making Strawberry Jelly
I wanted to do a quick video while making strawberry jelly to show just how easy it is to make your own jelly. All you need is about 8 cups of fresh strawberries topped and cut up, then cover with water in sauce pan and down down for about 30-45 min. Let juice and fruit cook then strain the pulp to create a rich juice. For the jelly all you need is 4 cups of juice, 4 cups of sugar and 1 box of fruit pectin (add 1/2 tsp of butter to help reduce foaming).
