1/2 c Soy sauce 1/2 c Cooking sherry 1 tb Lemon juice 1 Clove crushed garlic 1/4 c Salad oil Brush trout with lemon juice inside and out to preserve freshness before refrigeration. Place 2 trout, 10 to 12 inch fish, in shallow baking dish; pour marinade (recipe follows) over fish. Let stand for one hour. Place on grill and cook until done, approx. 15 minutes. The drained marinade should be used for basting during cooking. MARINADE: Use hand mixer to blend all ingredients well. -----

Did you know that Gilling Trout on the grill is an simple dish to impress your friends and family? Well, this is a recipe that will help you do that. Today we are cooking a Steelhead Trout on the Pellet Smoker. If you have never cooked a Steelhead Trout, then I would strongly encourage you to give it a try. This is also something that can easily be paired with almost any vegetable or pasta dish. And best of all, it is healthy.
Prep Work Butter Mixture 1 - Place the butter in a grill safe pan and place in the smoker to allow the butter to melt. 2 - When the butter has melted add: Rosemary, Thyme, Minced Onions & Garlic Powder 3 - Return the mutter to the smoker to allow it is blend together
Seasoning 1 - Rubs some Olive Oil over the Cedar Plank to prevent the Steelhead Trout skin from sticking to the Cedar Plank 2 - Apply some Olive Oil to the top of the Steelhead Trout to act a binder for the Rufus Teague Fish Rubs 3 - Apply a liberal coat of Rufus Teague- Fish Rub to the top of the Steelhead Trout
Cooking / Smoking 1 - Pre-heat the pellet smoker to 300° 2 - Place the Steelhead Trout in the smoker and start checking it every 3-5 minutes 3 - Once the Rufus Teague Fish Rub has binded to the Steelhead Trout 4 - Start applying the butter mixture to the top of the Steelhead Trout, make sure you are not brushing off the Rufus Teague Fish Rub 5 - When you can leave the fork marks on the Trout, it is time to remove it from the Pellet Smoker. 6 - Allow it to rest until you can touch it comfortably. 7 - Serve and Enjoy 8 - Let us know how they turned out and Tag #EliteBBQSmokers in your social media post.

Pan Seared Steelhead Trout Recipe on the Weber Kettle Grill | Cast Iron Skillet Recipes | Barlow BBQ
Today we show you how to make a delicious pan seared steelhead trout recipe using a cast iron skillet on the Weber Kettle Grill. Full recipe is below!

MANGO JALAPENO SALSA: 1 large mango 2 tbsp ginger 2 scallions 1 small red or yellow pepper1 jalapeno Juice of 1 lime Pinch of salt and pepper
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and let set in fridge until time to serve.
PAN SEARED STEELHEAD TROUT 1 filet of steelhead trout cut in half Melted butter Cajun Seasoning
Prepare your grill for direct cooking. Place cast iron skillet on grill and let warm up (be careful to not let the pan get too hot).
Prep trout by brushing on melted butter and add your favorite seasoning. Brush a small amount of butter on the cast iron skillet and add fish flesh side down on skillet. Let cook for a minute or two then flip and sear the other side. Trout is done when flesh flakes with a fork.
Serve over coconut milk and fresh mint, garnish with the mango jalapeno salsa. Serve immediately.
