How To make Beef Potpie
1/2 c All-purpose flour
1/4 c Instant nonfat dry milk
-powder 1 t Dry mustard
1 c Water
1 tb Worcestershire sauce
1 cn (10-1/2-ounce) beef broth,
-undiluted 1 c Chopped onion
1 lb 93% ultra-lean ground beef
Vegetable cooking spray 1 tb Dried parsley flakes
1/2 ts Garlic powder
1/2 ts Pepper
1/4 ts Dried thyme
1 pk (16-ounce) frozen New
-England-style sweet peas, -potatoes, and carrots, Thawed 1 Jar (6-ounce) sliced
-mushrooms, drained 1 cn (4.5-ounce) refrigerated
-buttermilk biscuits.
Directions: Combine the first 3 ingredients in a bowl; stir well. Gradually add water and next 2 ingredients, stirring with a wire whisk until blended; set aside. Cook the onion and beef in a large saucepan coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble; drain in a colander. Return beef mixture to pan. Add parsley and next 5 ingredients; stir well. Add broth mixture; cook over medium heat for 15 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly. Spoon mixture into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Carefully split biscuits in half horizontally, and place over beef mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until biscuits are lightly browned. Make-Ahead Tips: You can assemble the casserole ahead of time, without thawing the frozen vegetables and omitting the biscuits; cover and freeze. Thaw frozen casserole overnight in refrigerator; let stand at room temperature 30 minutes. Top with biscuits; bake as directed. In this video I show y'all how to make an easy homemade beef pot pie using a can of Dinty Moore beef stew. This beef pot pie recipe is so easy with already made tender stew meat, celery, in a thick creamy sauce then baked in double pie crusts until golden brown. If you're a fan of Dinty Moore beef stew you will really love this simple recipe. Quick and easy meal any day of the week.
Shopping List: Servings: 1-2
2 (9) inch pie crust dough, thawed to room temperature for 1.5 hours. (DO NOT THAW IN MICROWAVE)
15 ounce can Dinty Moore Beef Stew
1 tbsp salted butter
1 tbsp all purpose flour
1/8 cup celery
1/4 beef broth
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. kosher salt (1/2 that much if using table salt)
1 egg
1 tbsp of milk
Pinch salt for egg wash
Directions:
Let the pie crust sit out on the counter top for 1.5 hours in its wrapper to come to room temperature then unroll.
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
In a skillet over medium heat melt the butter and add the flour. Whisk about 2 minutes to cook out the rawness of the flour and forms a roux. Add the celery and saute until soft. About 5 minutes.
Add th beef broth and bring to a low simmer. Remove from heat.
Place one pie crust over another cast iron skillet and form along the bottom and sides. Poke several holes in the bottom with a fork for venting.
Add the beef stew mixture into the pie crust.
Place the other pie crust over the skillet and crimp with the bottom crust along the top edges.
Beat the egg, milk and pinch salt and brush on the egg wash on the top crust then cut several slits in the top crust for venting.
Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
When done, allow to set for 5 minutes before serving.

HOMEMADE BEEF POT PIES! | FAMILY FAVORITE WINTER DINNER
Hey family!! In today's video we're trying homemade beef pot pies for supper, and they become a family favorite!
Beef Pot Pie Recipe:
NOTE: This makes one pot pie, I doubled it and made two. I also left out the potatoes because I served them on the side. Annnnd, I forgot about the egg wash on the crust, but it was all good! ???? I brushed the tops with butter. ????????????
Ingredients:
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 pie crust 1 for top and 1 for bottom
2 1/2 cups marinated steak bites NOTE: I didn't marinate mine and it was still delicious!
1 1/2 cups boiled potatoes diced
1 cup cooked carrots sliced
1 cup peas frozen
1 beef bouillon cube crushed
1 cup whole milk
2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter.
Add flour, whisk and cook for 1 minute.
Add beef broth, milk, and bouillion.
Simmer until thickened, stirring often (about 5 minutes).
Add peas, carrot, boiled potatoes, and marinated steak bites, mix well.
In a prepared 9-inch pie pan, add the bottom pie crust.
Pour the steak mixture on top of the crust.
Cover with the second pie crust.
Using a fork, seal the edges of the two pie crusts together.
Brush the top lightly with egg.
Make 4-5 small cuts in top crust to vent.
Bake for 40-50 minutes (until top crust is golden brown).
