How To make Butterscotch Oat Squares
2 cups oats
quick or instant
1 cup brown sugar :
packed
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
Mix oats and brown sugar, mix in butter and vanilla.
Divide mixture evenly in 2 ungreased 8-inch square pans, spreading evenly, or in a single pan for thicker, more chewy squares. Bake at 375F for about 10 minutes (15 minutes if in a single pan) or until golden-brown. Squares will be soft, but will harden when cool.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then mark in squares with a sharp knife. Loosen edges and allow to cool before removing from pans.

INGREDIENTS
• 1 cup unsalted butter
• 1 1/2 cups flour (or gluten-free baking flour)
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 cup brown sugar packed
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
• 1 3/4 cups See’s Butterscotch Squares, chopped
• Sea salt for sprinkling on cookies
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Melt butter over medium heat about 5 minutes, until bubbling and amber. Transfer to a small bowl and place in fridge. Don't forget the browned bits!
2. Chop See's Candies Butterscotch Squares to your desired size. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. Add sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well.
5. Add 2 eggs. Mix well.
6. Add cooled brown butter mixture from fridge. Mix well.
7. Add oats and chopped See's Butterscotch Squares. Mix well.
8. Form cookie dough into 2 tablespoon sized cookie dough balls. Place on baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until slightly browned around edges.
10. Remove from oven, sprinkle on sea salt, and enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups butterscotch chips
Directions:
1. Line a jelly roll pan (16 x 12) with parchment paper and spray the sides with cooking spray.
2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars together with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 or 3 minutes.
4. Add in the vanilla extract and 2 eggs and mix again to combine.
5. Add in the cinnamon, salt, baking soda, and flour and mix to combine.
6. Add the oats in and mix using the electric mixer and then a spatula.
7. Fold in the butterscotch chips.
8. Spread into the prepared pan. (The mixture is very sticky and will be a very thin layer after you spread it.)
9. Bake 20-22 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
10. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before cutting into bars. Enjoy!!!

Ingredients:
120g (125 mL / ½ cup) butter
250 mL (1 cup) brown sugar, packed
500 mL (2 cups) large flake oats
5 mL (1 tsp) pure vanilla extract
1 mL (¼ tsp) salt
[5 mL (1 tsp) baking powder] optional
Method:
Preheat oven to 180ºC (350ºF)
Melt butter in a baking pan, and melt in brown sugar.
Mix in oatmeal, vanilla, salt, and baking powder (if using).
Pat down flat and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
Remove from oven and let cool slightly before cutting and removing from pan.
Don’t let it cool too much or it will be difficult to remove.
