*PERFECT* Oreo Sheet Cake!
If you want a moist, delicious oreo cake in sheet pan form then you should try this one out! It's simple and perfect for beginners!
I found that 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour was the most common amount BUT then the grams listed on each person's website had 30 to 50 gram differences. I know flour is different brands but the overwhelming majority of all purpose flour is 30g for 1/4 of a cup. It was quite annoying. So I made up this recipe with the correct grams for all purpose flour. You should ALWAYS check your bag to make sure you get the correct grams. (And if you aren't weighing, make sure you do the spoon and level method! video here:
Oreo (cookies and cream) Sheet Cake
Ingredients:
6 oz (3/4 cup) unsalted butter
384 grams ( 2 cups) sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
300 grams (2 1/2 cups) All purpose flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
10 ounces (1 1/4 cups) whole milk
60 ml (1/4 cup) lemon juice
1 cup oreo crumbs
Directions:
1. Combine milk and lemon juice, set aside. Crush oreos enough for 1 cup
2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
3. Sift flour, baking powder, salt together, set aside.
4. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter until light in color. ( )
5. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. ( )
6. Add in eggs 1 at a time fully incorporating before adding the next one. Add in vanilla.
7. Add in 1/3 of the mixture of flour, mix until just barely incorporated. Add in 1/2 of the milk mixture slowly, mix until just combined.
8. Repeat flour, milk then remaining flour.
9. Give one last scrape to make sure everything is combined.
10. Add oreo crumbs and mix by hand, gently. Don't over mix or stir vigorously.
11. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicon mat. Spray the edges with non stick cooking spray. Pour in cake batter.
12. Bake in oven for 25 to 35 minutes or until middle springs back slightly. Start checking at about 25 minutes.
13. Let cool completely, top with your favorite frosting!
Thank you for watching, I appreciate you!
