Red Beans and Rice with @ChefKennethTemple
Red Beans and Rice with @ChefKennethTemple - Chef Kenneth Temple is a master at making Red Beans and Rice, a beloved Southern dish. He begins by soaking red beans overnight, which will help them cook to a perfect softness. The next day, he sautés onions, celery, and bell pepper until they are tender and fragrant, then adds smoked sausage to give the dish a rich, smoky flavor. After that, he adds the soaked beans and a flavorful blend of spices, including bay leaves, thyme, and cumin. The mixture simmers for several hours until the beans are tender and the flavors are fully developed. Chef Temple serves the Red Beans and Rice over fluffy white rice and garnishes it with parsley. The result is a hearty, flavorful meal that will leave you feeling satisfied and happy.

CROCKPOT RED BEANS~Foodie Fridays!
Hey y'all! This is my first Foodie Fridays with Crockpot Red Beans! I'm going to put the recipe below along with the links to the Golden Sweet Cornbread & Cookies & Cream Oreo Blondies. Let me know in the comments what type of recipes y'all would like to see!!
CrockPot Red Beans:
Ingredients:
1 pound red or kidney beans
1 green bell pepper (chopped)
1 sweet/Vidalia onion (chopped)
3-4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 pound smoked sausage
2 bay leaves
1 TS of black pepper
1 TB of Cajun seasoning (depending on your spice liking)
Step 1:
The night before you want to cook your red beans, put them in a big pot of water and let them soak overnight. Also, go ahead and chop your bell pepper, onion, garlic, and sausage.
Step 2:
The morning you are cooking your beans, transfer 6-7 cups of water from the pot you had the beans soaking in to the crockpot. Drain the excess water from the pot & then add the beans to the crockpot.
Step 3:
After adding your water & beans, dump all your remaining ingredients in the crockpot. Gently stir everything together and cook on LOW for 8 hours. After 8 hours, stir your beans real good and serve over white rice. ENJOY!!
