ABOUT ME!
Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm an actress and avid baker with an affinity for all things dessert-related. Don’t worry, I like savory things too. You can see me on TV shows like Modern Family, Scandal, NCIS: Los Angeles, and more. When I'm not doing Hollywood stuff, I'm snuggling with my dog and playing around in the kitchen. Some of my favorite things to eat are ice cream, kettle corn, and French fries. My idols include Martha Stewart (obviously) and Celine Dion, but I'll have to tackle singing on another show. Thanks for watching!

How to handle passive aggressive attacks? Meghan Markle is a master manipulator and this includes passive aggression. Kate Middleton handled it well, which may be a large part of why Meghan is no longer a part of the royal family. Her tactics did not work. It is very helpful to learn from examples how to navigate different social situations.

How to Cook Tapioca Pearls | Cooking and Preparing Tapioca Pearls for Milk Tea | Important Tips in Cooking and Storing of Tapioca Pearls
!!!IMPORTANT TIPS FOR COOKING AND PREPARING TAPIOCA PEARLS!!!
Here are some key tips for properly cooking tapioca pearls:
• DO NOT pour tapioca pearls straight from the package directly into boiling water. You must put them first in a dry bowl to make sure that the tapioca pearls are not sticking out.
• You must pre-boil the water before adding the tapioca. Do not add them until the water is at a rolling boil.
• The size of tapioca pearls can vary, and you may need to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
• You’ll need to use a lot of water when cooking tapioca pearls, as they are quick to absorb water and also very starchy. Not using enough water may cause them to become starchy and sticky. Stirring the pearls occasionally is also very important to avoid sticking to the pan.
• Cooked tapioca pearls should be stored at room temperature and covered in sugar to ensure the pearls do not start sticking to one another.
• DO NOT put them in the refrigerator as this will harden the pearls and will lose its chewiness. Heating them, on the other hand, will make them become too soft.
• It is highly recommended to consume cooked tapioca pearls the same day (within 12-16 hours).
• While in a container, Stir the sugar-coated tapioca pearls occasionally to prevent lumping. If the lump becomes inseparable, stir in a little amount of water once at a time until the pearls separate.
STEP BY STEP COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Boil Water in a deep pot
Make sure there is a minimum of 6 parts water to 1 part tapioca.
Step 2: Pour tapioca into boiling water
When water achieves a rolling boil pour in the tapioca pearls.
Step 3: Stir lightly
Stir the tapioca so that it doesn't stick to the bottom.
Step 4: Let the tapioca float to the top
Let the tapioca pearls float to the top.
Step 5: Cook for 35-45 minutes on medium heat depending on the size of pearls
When the tapioca floats, turn the heat down to medium.
Maintain a rolling boil and stir from time to time to prevent sticking.
Step 6: Steep the cooked tapioca for another 35 minutes
After cooking for 35-45 minutes, take the pot off the heat and let sit for another 35 minutes covered.
Step 7: Drain the water from the cooked tapioca
Rinse under running water until completely cooled.
Step 8: Cover with sugar
Pour tapioca into a container and cover with sweetener of your choice (White Sugar, Sugar Syrup or Brown Sugar).

Best Bone Broth Recipe EVER (& Easiest!) + Bone Broth Benefits!!
Here's ALL you need to know about bone broth and how to make the BEST DAMN BONE BROTH OF YOUR LIFE (that's also the EASIEST) to ensure you are giving your body what it needs to be healthy.
One of the most crucial foods for our health and well-being is bone broth (broth made by cooking meaty bones in a pot of water), and yet we've essentially removed it from our diet in the modern western world. Instead of nutritious and delicious, rich and beautiful bone broths and stocks, we use added and artificial flavorings made in a lab to add flavor to our packaged foods. Even if the box says all-natural, it's usually not.
We've lost all the amazing nutritional benefits of bone broth, benefits that are scientifically backed. So let me show you how to make the best ever bone broth and tell you why you need it in your life.
If you want to delve into this topic of bone broth and its benefits a bit more, go to my blog post to learn more!

Best Bone Broth Recipe:
Ingredients:
2 onions, chopped (if very large, use only 1)
3-4 pounds beef bones that have cartilage and some meat on them (i.e. knuckle bones, shank bones, oxtail, rib bones, femur bones)
1 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
1. Add all ingredients to a large pot (or pressure cooker) and add enough water to just cover the bones. Let it boil and once it boils, turn it off so you can skim any scum that may have surfaced. (This is optional but some believe it to be helpful in keeping the taste pure. Sometimes I do it and sometimes I don't. Totally up to you.)
2. If using pressure cooker like InstantPot, put it on the pressure cooker setting on high for 3 hours and allow the pressure to naturally release when it's done.
If using a regular pot over the stove, let it simmer for 12-16 hours.
If using a slow-cooker, let it simmer for 12-16 hours.
3. Strain the cooked broth to keep the liquid gold you've just made.
