No Bake Date Energy Balls – Super Healthy Recipe
These are great for a snack, before a workout and a great healthy alternative to sugar heavy foods. They’re also vegan and gluten free.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of pitted dates. Prefer organic unsweetened medjool dates.
I like to buy the dates with the pits as they maintain the nutrients
- 2 cups of almonds –
If you prefer you can use any nuts you like, I’ve seen these with pistachios or pecans or cashews if you like those better.
- Next we put ¼ cup raw cacao powder –
- ¾ cup unsweetened coconut ¼ cup goes in the mix and we save ½ cup for rolling)
- ¼ tsp pink salt – this enhances the flavor of chocolate and adds great minerals
- ½ tsp vanilla extract for taste
- 1-2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk.

Put this in a food processor for about 2 minutes until you see it all mixed up.
If this is not sticky enough to roll into balls add more almond milk about a tablespoon at a time mixing it until it is sticky enough.
Then just roll them into balls and add the coconut flakes and your done. If you don’t like coconut you can also add hemp seeds or any shredded nuts.
I’ve stored these in the fridge for more than a week and they were still good to go. You can also freeze them if you want to make bigger batches.

Aunt Anne's Date Nut Balls Recipe
1 stick butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups chopped dates
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups Rice cereal
Melt butter and then dissolve the granulated sugar in the butter. Add the dates and cook on low heat for 6 to 7 minutes. Next, add the pecans and rice cereal. Allow to cool enough to handle the mixture and then roll into quarter size balls. Roll the balls in powder sugar and enjoy!

Natures Chocolate Covered “ Candy “ Trust me on this one , my family is not a fan of dates but they cannot get enough of these. I have been showing you the date treats I eat on here for years but let’s take it up I a notch. My sweet tooth has been acting up like crazy these days. Dates are natures candy, they really are one of the most magnificent natural treats that offer a significant amount of fiber and variety of vitamins and minerals, including iron, potassium, B vitamins, copper, and magnesium. They can also help keep your blood sugar levels at bay as they are known to be low on the glycemic index scale. If you are anything like me , then that means you are a lover of sweet and salty together. Directions are :

You will need to buy “ Medjool Dates” and make sure you take out the pit (I used 6 dates in this recipe) You lay your date flat and open it up lengthwise from the top , you can even cut it lengthwise as well , take out the pit and fill it with a teaspoon of peanut butter or any nut or seed butter that you love ( I use organic ) You can add a pecan inside or any nut of choice and freeze them for 30 minutes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Once frozen , melt your favourite chocolate and coat them with a spoon ( I used vegan dark ). Freeze again for 10 minutes and enjoy. They can be stored in the fridge or freezer as well. Flakey salt is optional but I prefer it without. Dates are so versatile, you can stuff them with goat cheese and bake them , add them to smoothies , acai bowls , coffee , make desserts out of them and use them a million different ways. If you are a lover of dates or have a sweet tooth I encourage you to give this a try instead of a candy bar. Love you guys , hope I was able to give you a really tasty treat idea.

Laddu or laddoo (Hindi: लड्डू) is a spherical sweet originating from the Indian subcontinent. Laddus are primarily made from flour, fat (ghee/butter/oil) and sugar. Laddus are often made of gram flour but can also be made with semolina. Sometimes ingredients such as chopped nuts and/or dried raisins are also added. The type of ingredients used may vary by recipe.Laddus are often served during festive or religious occasions. Common flours used for laddu include gram flour (chickpea flour), wheat semolina, dry fruits and ground coconut. These are combined with sugar and other flavorings, cooked in ghee, and molded into a ball shape.
