How to Make Old Fashioned Strawberry Pie | The Stay At Home Chef
Old Fashioned Strawberry Pie is made completely from scratch wth an almost creamy strawberry sauce smothering fresh strawberries. Top it all off with a cream cheese whipped topping for the perfect strawberry pie!

✅Ingredients
STRAWBERRY PIE:
• 1 baked deep dish pie shell
• 6 cups sliced fresh strawberries, divided
• 1 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup water
• 3 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon butter
CREAM CHEESE WHIPPED TOPPING:
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
• 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
✅Instructions
1️⃣ 00:00:14 - Slice strawberries. Mash some of the strawberries until you have 1 cup mashed. Place the remaining strawberries into the baked pie shell. Place into the refrigerator for later use.
2️⃣ 00:00:52 - Place 1 cup mashed strawberries into a large saucepan. Stir in sugar, water, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted.
3️⃣ 00:01:35 - Allow mixture to cool, 1 hour. Pour cooled mixture over the strawberries. Return pie to the fridge until set, about 4 hours.
4️⃣ 00:02:15 - In a large mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to beat heavy cream with cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Transfer to a piping bag to pipe designs onto finished pie, or serve each slice with a dollop of whipped cream.

Fresh Strawberry Pie, Super Easy to Make!
Fresh Strawberry Pie
Ingredients:
(For two pies, double the ingredients.)
1 Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
1-½ Cup water
1 three ounce box Strawberry Jell-O
3 or 4 Cups fresh strawberries
1 Ready-made graham cracker pie crust or your favorite pie crust
Place sugar, cornstarch, and water in a pot over medium heat. Boil until clear and thickens, stirring constantly. Remove bubbling mixture from heat. Add one box Strawberry Jell-O, stir until it dissolves. Let mixture set for 10 minutes. Add 3 or 4 cups fresh strawberries and let set for 15 minutes. Pour into pie crust. Place in refrigerator until pie is set.
Easy Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
This delicious Strawberry Rhubarb Slab Pie with a crisp Graham cracker butter crust comes together so easily and is PACKED with flavor. When rhubarb is around you've just got to make some yummy desserts with it. That tart flavor brings so much vibrance to any dish it's in and pairs perfectly with summer sweet strawberies. My strawberry pie is made with seasonal strawberries and my Homemade Pie Crust, which I cut and lay as a lattice, giving you a beautiful peek-a-boo at those strawberries. A lattice shape works best when baking with strawberries. Strawberries release a lot of liquid when they bake, so your pie top will need to be partially open to let that liquid evaporate. If you use a solid pie crust, you're going to get a soggy bottom!
I also add some grated Granny Smith apple to this pie, which helps soak up a lot of the liquid the strawberries release and gives it another layer of texture.
