How To make Ginger Pork
2 lb Pork, cubed
1 x Flour
1/3 c Chicken broth
1/3 c Soy sauce
2 tb Sherry
1/4 c Onion, sliced
1 ea Garlic clove, minced
1 tb Sugar
1 ts Ginger, ground
1 ds Pepper
1 x Rice, cooked
3 tb Peanut oil
Dredge meat in flour. Heat oil in large skillet. Add half of meat and brown quickly. Remove meat and set aside. Pour off excess oil from pan. Combine chicken broth, soy sauce and sherry. Add onion, garlic, sugar, ginger and pepper. Place in a pan along with meat. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes or until meat is tender. Serve over rice. -----

Today I’m going to show you how to make Pork Ginger! (Shogayaki in Japanese)

Ingredients:
- 200g of thinly sliced pork (Shoulder or Belly)
- 1inch of grated ginger
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 & ½ tbsp of soy sauce
- 3 tbsp of cooking sake
- 2 tsp of brown sugar
- 2 tbsp of water
- ¼ of a head of cabbage
- mini tomatoes
For Dressing : Mix mustard, olive oil and a little salt/pepper
How to make:
- Start off by grating your ginger and garlic and mix them together
- Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, cooking sake, grated ginger & garlic and water (don’t forget that!) to a bowl and mix together
- Add your thinly sliced pork to a bowl and let that sit for 5-10 minutes
- Heat some olive oil in a frying pan on a medium-high heat, spread your pork out evenly. Make sure to keep the rest of that seasoning!
- Cook for about a minute on each side until golden brown
- Add the rest of the seasoning from before and toss for a few seconds.
- Plate up with finely cut cabbage and tomatoes!

Today I will show you how to make ginger pork stir fry. It is a quick and easy recipe and can be done in 20 mins. It goes very well with steamed rice. One of our family's favorite.
Ginger Pork Ingredients:
Pork Tenderloin - 1 lb (Thinly Sliced)
Ginger - 1 Large knob (10 Thick Slices)
Red Sweet Bell Pepper - 4 mini ones or half of a regular sweet bell pepper (Julienne Cut)
A handful of Cilantro for garnishing
Ginger Pork Marinate:
Sugar, Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce - 1 Tbsp
Balsamic Vinegar/Rice Vinegar - 2 Tbsp
Dark Soy - 2 teaspoons
Corn Starch - 1 Tbsp
High heat and stir fry the vegetables first with 3 Tbsp of oil for 1-2 mins and then add in the pork. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 5 more minutes. Garnish with cilantro and serve with steamed rice.

Classic Japanese ginger pork (Shogayaki) recipe. Tender sliced pork loin in a sweet ginger sauce, Ginger Pork is one of my favorite homemade dishes. Ready in 20 minutes!
PRINT RECIPE ▶
INGREDIENTS
1 knob ginger (2, 5 cm; 100 g)
½ onion (140 g)
¾ lb (340 g) thinly sliced pork loin (I use sliced pork for ginger pork from a Japanese grocery store; If you can't find paper-thin meat, slice the meat on your own. See the tutorial on how to cut meat paper-thin.)
1 Tbsp sake (for pork)
1 Tbsp all-purpose flour (plain flour) (for pork)
1-2 Tbsp neutral-flavored oil (vegetable, rice bran, canola, etc) (for cooking)
freshly ground black pepper (optional sprinkle at the end)
Ginger Sauce
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp mirin
2 Tbsp sake
1 tsp sugar

Shoga Yaki is one of the most popular and common dishes in Japan and is everyone's favorite. Usually eaten with cooked rice and some sliced raw cabbage, add a bowl of miso soup on the side to make it a complete meal.

INGREDIENTS:
3-4 thinly sliced pork
1 stub ginger
1/4 onion
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp sake
1 tsp sugar
oil
DIRECTIONS:
First, grate the ginger and squeeze out the juice with your hand. Grate the onion and add it to the ginger. Add in soy sauce, mirin, sake and sugar and mix well. Add in the pork slices and let it marinate for 5 minutes. Shred and thinly slice cabbage and cucumbers if you desire and set aside.
After 5 minutes, wipe off excess marinade from the pork with paper towels. Heat some oil in a frying pan and cook pork slices over medium heat. Cook both sides, being careful not to burn the meat. Add in the remaining sauce and cook for another 30 seconds. Serve with sliced cabbage and cucumbers if desired. Best eaten with a bowl of hot Japanese rice.
