How To make Grandma's Apple Pie
2 1/4 c All-purpose flour
3/4 c Crisco shortening
3/4 ts Salt
1/3 c Ice water
Fine Granny Smith Apples, -peeled & cut 1/4 c Sugar
1 tb Flour
1 ts Cinnamon
Butter & Milk You can do the crust in a food processor if you don.t like stirring. Split in half, and line 9" pie plate with one half. Cut apples in thin slices. Combine sugar, cinnamon, flour, and pour over apples. Place apple mixture in bottom crust of 9" pie plate. Dot with butter. Put on top crust, making vents to allow steam to escape. Ingredients:
Pie filling:
About 5-6 cooking apples. (We used granny smith)
½ cup sugar
2T flour
½ t nutmeg
Uncooked pie shell
Pie topping:
1 stick butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup flour
Directions:
Slice 4-5 cooking apples. We used granny smith. Recipe didn’t specifie. In a bag, mix ½ cup sugar, 2T flour, ½ t nutmeg. Pile high into 1 uncooked pie shell. In a bowl, mix 1 stick butter, ½ cup sugar, ½ cup flour. Mix with pastry cutter. Sprinkle over pie. Put inside a large brown paper bag. Staple. Set on cookie sheet. Bake at 425 for one hour.

This was my grandmother's apple pie recipe. I have never seen another one quite like it. It will always be my favorite and I hope it becomes one of your favorites as well!
Ingredients:
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
8 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add water, white sugar and brown sugar, and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature and let simmer.
Place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill with apples, mounded slightly. Cover with a lattice work crust. Gently pour the sugar and butter liquid over the crust. Pour slowly so that it does not run off.
Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Continue baking for 35 to 45 minutes, until apples are soft.

My Grandma was always known for her amazing pies but especially her Apple Pie. Her influence has definitely developed my love of baking pies! Pie Crust:
3 cup (390 g) flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup (226 g) butter
2/3 cup (165 ml) milk
Filling:
6 peeled and sliced apples
1 cup (200 g) sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup (33 g) flour
Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 350 and bake another 40 minutes.
Baking my Grandma’s famous apple pie (with Grandma!)
My Grandma finally taught me how to make her famous apple pie! I love spending time with family, and given this year's events, it’s been hard to get in family time. Teaching my grandma how to Facetime and Zoom so we could stay connected this year was a delight. Big thanks to grams (yes, I told her offline) for baking pies with me! This Apple cream pie is the BEST EVER!!! Add to your Fall recipes for 2021! The apples float in a delicious sour cream custard.
I used a store bought pie crust that made it even easier. Apple cream pie is such a nice change from a traditional apple pie. And because there is an egg in the cream you are less likely to get a soggy pie crust.

EASY APPLE CREAM PIE
3 cups peeled and sliced thin Granny Smith apples
2 T Flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
1/2 t salt
1 egg
1/2 t vanilla
Cream flour, sugar, sour cream, salt, egg, and vanilla together. Add Sliced apples.
Pour into uncooked pie crust and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
While baking, mix together 1/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and a 1/4 cup sugar. Cut the butter into the mixture.
When pie is finished with the first bake reduce oven temperature to 325. Sprinkle cinnamon mixture over the top of pie and bake an additional 20 minutes. Let pie stand 1 hour before cutting into.
