A delicious Sunday dinner that consists of pasta as a base, minced beef as a filling, and topped with a Béchamel sauce. Don’t miss out on this recipe which some call the Greek lasagna! ✔ Ingredients: (for a big baking tray)
Ingredients for the Pasta:
◾ 500g Bucatini pasta No2 or Barilla No9
◾ 1 Tbsp olive oil
◾ 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
◾ 2 pinch of Salt
◾ 80g grated cheese Kefaloturi or Kaseri (or any cheese of your choice) to sprinkle on top.
Ingredients for the minced beef filling:
◾ 1k and 200g minced beef (Flank)
◾ 500g concentrated tomato juice
◾ 70g tomato paste
◾ 2 Big fresh tomatoes grated
◾ 2 onions finely chopped
◾ 1 green bell pepper cut in cubes
◾ 1 red horn pepper cut in cubes* (replace it with one more green bell pepper if you don’t have)
◾ 1 tsp honey (optional)
◾ 1/3 tsp cinnamon
◾ 4 Tbsp olive oil
◾ 80g grated cheese Kefaloturi or Kaseri (or any cheese of your choice) to sprinkle on top.
◾ Black pepper (at the start) and Salt to taste (at the end)
Ingredients for the Bechamel:
◾ 200g Butter, unsalted
◾ 200g All-purpose flour (1 cup)
2 Tbsp Cornstarch
◾ 80g grated cheese Kefaloturi or Kaseri (or any cheese of your choice) to sprinkle on top.
◾ 4 egg yolks
◾ 1,8L milk
◾ 1/3 tsp Nutmeg, grated
◾ 1/3 tsp Cinnamon
◾ 1 pinch of Salt

How to Make Greek Cheese Pie | At Home Recipes | Allrecipes.com
Flaky layers of phyllo and creamy feta cheese make a perfect easy pie! This yummy treat only needs four ingredients! Get the recipe:
Ingredients:
14 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
2 eggs
10 sheets phyllo dough, thawed if frozen
1/2 cup olive oil
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. Mix feta cheese and eggs together in a bowl for the filling; set aside.
3. Lay out 1 sheet of phyllo on a work surface and brush liberally with olive oil. Top with another sheet and brush with oil. Repeat for a total of 4 sheets, but do not brush the top of the fourth sheet. Transfer the stack of oiled sheets to one of the greased cake pans. Drape over the bottom of the pan, trying not to be too perfect about it; you want some folds and wrinkles in the phyllo.
4. Spread 1/2 of the filling over the phyllo in an even layer. Fold the overhanging phyllo over the filling, again letting natural folds and wrinkles occur. Loosely lay 1 sheet of phyllo over the top, brush with oil, and use the oiled brush to pat down the sides all around the circumference of the cake pan.
5. Repeat with remaining phyllo, oil, and filling to assemble the second pie.
6. Bake the cheese pies in the preheated oven until the tops are a deep golden brown, 45 to 60 minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Pastitsio with layers of pasta, rich meat sauce topped with a thick layer of Becahmel sauce! This is Pastitsio a recipe that anyone loves! Today I share with you his step by step method from how to get the most flavour meat sauce to a creamy bechamel and all his tips and tricks. This is also known as Greek lasagna and my familly loves this recipe!
INGREDIENTS:
For the pasta
- 3 litre of water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 250 g pasta for pastitsio
- 100 g grated cheese
For the meat sauce
- 50 ml olive oil
- 700 g miced meat - beef or beef+pork
- 1 chopped onion
- 1or 2 fine chopped carrots
- allspice
- some chopped parsley or celery
- 50 ml wine / cognac
- 350 g canned tomatoes/ 500 g chopped tomatoes
- 200 ml of water
- 1 Laurel leaf
- salt and pepper
----------------------------------
For the Bechamel sauce:
- 2 tbsp oil
- 70 g butter
- 70 g flour
- 700 ml of warm milk (not hot)
- 1 egg
- nutmeg
- salt and pepper
20x30 cm Tray
