I can eat a lot of cabbage when I make coleslaw.
This coleslaw recipe doesn't go too watery.
Hi everyone, welcome to Noko's Kitchen
Using salt is for taste and getting rid of the water from the cabbage that's why this coleslaw won't get watery.
Simple ingredients such as cabbage carrot vinegar and Dijon mustard.
You can enjoy this for your lunch.
Tips
I'm using about a quarter of cabbage in this video. ( about two big handfuls )
Add salt over the finely sliced cabbage and leave for a while.
The Cabbage will get watery after adding salt then squeeze the cabbage to get rid of the water.
This process is important to make a non watery coleslaw.
Taste it and add more mayonnaise or salt if you need
Your choice of fillings inside the sandwich such as ham cheese chicken eggs etc.
Toast the bread and spread butter if you don't use the pan.
Use the butter 1Tbsp or more if you need when you fry the bread.
Use more butter than usual.
It's going to be a tall sandwich when you put the coleslaw over the toast so press the toast with your palm for easy eating.
Ingredients
A quarter Cabbage
1/2 fine strips Carrot
1tsp Salt
3Tbsp Mayonnaise
1tsp Dijon mustard
1tsp Vinegar
Some pepper
2 slices Bread
1~1.5Tbsp Butter
2 slices Tomato
2 slices Cucumber
1 slice Ham
1 slice Cheese

Creamy Trini Coleslaw Recipe
Yield: 8 - 10 Servings
INGREDIENTS
Cabbage - 1 1/2 lb (core included)
Carrot - 1 1/2 cups (Grated)
Salt - 1/2 tsp or to taste
Black Pepper - 1/4 tsp or to taste
Brown Sugar - 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup
Evaporated Milk - 1/4 cup (Optional)
Mayonnaise - 1 1/2 cups
METHOD
1. Clean and remove the core from cabbage.
2. Slice cabbage into thin pieces.
3. Add cabbage to a bowl.
4. Grate carrots over the cabbage.
5. Add salt, black pepper and sugar, mix until fully incorporated.
6. Add evaporated milk and mayonnaise to cabbage mixture and mix until fully incorporated.
7. Served chilled and enjoy!
