This dish is absolutely delicious! COSTILLITAS DE PUERCO CON FRIJOLES en Salsa roja will always hit the spot. The flavor combination of the spices is unique and makes this dish shine. I have always loved this dish, my mom prepared it often when I was growing up, it goes so well with rice on the side (I like Arroz Blanco Mexicano) but it’s perfect alone since the beans complete the dish. Traditionally you serve it with corn tortillas. I hope you give this dish a try. ❤️
INGREDIENTS ______________
1 lb Pinto Beans
1/2 small onion
1 large garlic clove
Salt
2 1/2 lbs. spare ribs (slab cut In half long ways)
1 lb. Country style boneless ribs
SAUCE________________
6 guajillo Chiles (clean, seeds, veins removed )
4 large Roma tomatoes
1/4 small onion
4 Chile de Arbol (optional )
1 1/2 C. Chile water (from Boiling as needed)
SPICES_________________
4 large garlic cloves
2 Whole Allspice
3 Cloves
3/4 tsp peppercorn
3/4 tsp whole cumin
Salt (for Molcajete)
1/3 C. Water
2 Bay Leaves
1/2 Onion Julienned
EXTRAS________
Finely chopped onion (as needed)
Finely chopped cilantro (as needed)
Corn tortillas

Sweet & Smokey Pork Spare Ribs | I Heart Recipes
Hey y’all! I’m back with an easy pork spare ribs recipe that’s packed with flavor.
These sweet and smokey pork spare ribs are so tender and juicy! You can make these spare ribs in the oven or the slow cooker, whichever is easier for you! On my blog, IHeartRecipes.com, I give directions for oven and slow cooker, along with the exact measurements for the recipe—the link is below!
This pork spare ribs recipe is the perfect combination of sweet and smokey flavor. Serve these ribs over white rice with a nice side of cornbread, and you’ve got yourself a great comfort food dinner!

Timestamps for Sweet and Smoky Pork Spare Ribs video:
0:10 - Start with pork spare ribs.
0:18 - Cut the ribs into small pieces.
0:23 - Trim the excess fat.
0:29 - Place the ribs into a bowl.
0:37 - Season the ribs.
0:44 - Make sure all the ribs are nicely coated.
0:49 - Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray.
0:57 - Add the ribs to the slow cooker.
1:13 - Add in pineapple chunks.
1:22 - Add orange marmalade to a bowl.
1:30 - Add minced garlic.
1:33 - Pour in a bottle of store-bought BBQ sauce.
1:42 - Add in a splash of lemon juice.
1:48 - Pour in liquid smoke.
1:54 - Whisk everything until well combined.
2:12 - Pour the sauce over the ribs.
2:20 - Cover and cook for about four hours.
2:22 - You can make these ribs in the oven as well!
2:29 - Use a 9x13 baking dish instead of a slow cooker.
2:40 - Cover and cook for about an hour and 45 minutes.
2:50 - Turn the pieces and coat well.
3:00 - Broil uncovered for a few minutes.
3:07 - Place the ribs and pineapple chunks onto a plate.
3:20 - Top with sliced peppers.
3:33 - Garnish with green onions.

4 1/2 cup vegetable broth
2 1/2 cup strained tomatoes
3 medium size onions sliced
2 medium size golden apple
8 clove garlic chopped
1 large sweet potato
4 cup white kidney beans ( store bought )
2 large cinnamon stick
4 bay leaves
1 tbsp sugar
salt and pepper to your taste
