How To make Lauri's Mom's Gingerbread Boys
1/2 c Butter or margarine
1/2 c Sugar
1/4 t Salt
1 Eggs
1/2 c Molasses
1 T Vinegar
3 c All-purpose flour
3/4 t Baking soda
2 t Ground ginger
1/2 t Ground cinnamon
Redhots for eyes and buttons Cream margarine, sugar, salt. Stir in egg, molasses and vinegar. Add remianing ingredients except red hots. Chill 3-4 hours. Roll out 1/8" thick on lightly floured board. Place 1" apart on greased cookie sheet. Press in red hots for eyes and buttons. Bake 375F about 8 minutes. Cool before removing from cookie sheets.

Biscuit Recipe
100g/4oz butter
100g/4oz/0.5cup sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
100g/4oz/1 cup self raising flour
250g/9oz/2.5 cups oats
4 teaspoons boiling water
I also added about 50g raisins and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1. cream butter and sugar until fluffy
2. add golden syrup and beat in oats, flour, water and raisins until stiff dough
3. I rolled into balls then squashed onto the baking sheet but it would be better to roll out thin and use a cookie cutter
4. bake at 180c/350f/gas4 for approx 15min until brownes
5. make a cuppa, put your feet up and enjoy!

Ingredients
100g Whitworths Caster Sugar
100g Whitworths Dark Brown Soft Sugar
60g Unsalted Butter, melted
150g Treacle (mixed with 150ml Boiling Water)
1 Medium Free Range Egg
200g Plain Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Ground Ginger
2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Optional: Whitworths Icing Sugar to dust!
Directions
Preheat the oven to 190c/175c fan/gas 5. Line an 8 inch square tin.
Combine the sugars, butter, treacle in water until fully mixed.
Add the egg and whisk to combine again!
Fold in the flour, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon.
Pour into tin and bake 35 minutes - remove and let cool.
Sprinkle over some icing sugar and slice to serve!

3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
Bake 15-20 minutes (usually 18 minutes) at 300F
