【Garlic Shrimp】Microwave Recipes
Here's what you will need!
Ingredients:
* Shrimp - 8 Pieces
* Garlic - 4 Cloves
* Cooking Oil
* Cooking Wine
* Salt
* Pepper (Optional)
Make Ahead:
* Butterfly the shrimp. Keep the shell, insert a knife along the back of the shrimp from the head to the tail. Cut nearly all the way and remove the vein.
* Soaking the shrimp in 9% salt water for 20 mins or longer in the refrigerator, overnight is fine as well.
5 Mins Cooking:
* Mince the garlic
* Drain and dry the shrimp, then open the shrimp and lie them flat on a plate.
* Drizzle some cooking wine and a bit of water, then cover.
* Sautee the minced garlic on medium-low heat till yellow, remove the garlic from the heat to prevent over cooking. The hot oil will continue to cook the garlic so it’s important to turn off the heat when it’s just turning yellow. If you overcook it, it will taste bitter.
Microwave the shrimp for 1.5 mins on medium power.
* Add salt (and pepper if you like), then the garlic oil.
Then it’s ready to eat! This is a quick and delicious dish for yourself or can be a great option for entertaining.
