FISH TAGINE WITH VEGETABLES
Sauce for the fish balls tagine recipe
Add 2tbsp of olive oil in your pan
4 cloves of minced garlic
2 large diced tomatoes
2 bell peppers cut in strips
1 cubano pepper ( optional)
1 cup or 200g of chickpeas
1/2 bunch of coriander
2tbsp paprika
1 tsp curcuma
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp of pepper
1/2 cup hot water
Moroccan fish balls recipe
in a separate bowl put 1 cup or 250 g of minced salmon or fish pieces put in your food processor
1 cup or 250 g of white fish here I am using some cod
Add your fresh herb mixture
add 2/3 cup or 70 g bread crumbs you can also use gluten-free breadcrumbs we love the Jason brand ( not sponsored!)
2 egg yolks ( that is the secret to have smooth fish balls)
1 teaspoon or 2 g of cumin
1 teaspoon 2.3g of paprika
mix everything together
add half a teaspoon of salt
and a quarter teaspoon of pepper
mix again and put everything in the fridge

HOW TO MAKE Spicy Moroccan Fish| SPICY FISH CAKES| delicious dinner ideas|SUMMER MEALS|BEST CHRAIME
A delicious recipe full of flavor - adjust to your liking! I make this recipe with Fish cakes, but once you make the sauce you can use fish fillet or even tofu!!
This CHRAIME ( spicy tomato sauce) is super versatile- can be eaten alone or add your favorite protein!
RECIPE:
Sauce ( CHRAIME)
1 cup olive oil
1/2 onion
5 cloves garlic sliced
5-6 cloves garlic chopped
2 tbs cumin seeds
4 -6 tbs. paprika
4 tbs. ground cumin
4 carrots, peeled and sliced
1 large fresh tomato
2 tbs tomato paste
2 slices res bell peppers
2 cups chopped cilantro
1 sliced fresh Lemon
Salt & Pepper
Water as needed
Fish cakes
1 1/2 lb. haddock
2 eggs
1 1/2. cup cilantro (No stems)
1 cup matzoh meal or bread crumbs
Salt & pepper
Paprika and cumin to taste
For coating:
1 egg
4 tbs water
Salt pepper paprika
1 cup white flour
Oil for frying
A Beautiful Moroccan Fish Tagine Full Recipe! Tagine de Poisson Recette!
Layers of Moroccan flavors presented in a beautifully modern way. Recipe inspired by Chef Asmae at Riad Clementine in Marrakech, Morocco.
1lb Mostelle Fish, Monkfish or Cod
3 Tomatoes
3 Bell Peppers
4 small potatoes
5 cloves of garlic
4T parsley, finely chopped
1T tomato paste
2.5t cumin, divided
2t paprika
1/2t black pepper, plus extra for seasoning
1/2t Epices de Poisson seasoning (optional)
1/2c olive oil, divided
1.5t @mina harissa
2 small bay leaf
1 sprig rosemary
2T unsalted butter
1 lime or lemon
Season fish with salt, pepper and olive oil. Cover and let rest 15 minutes.
Cut tomatoes in half and grate them on a box grater, discarding the tomato skin. Transfer tomato puree to a tagine or skillet with tomato paste, 1.5t cumin, paprika, black pepper, epices de poisson (if using), 1 clove grated garlic, 2T olive oil and salt to taste. Stir to combine and cook over medium low heat for 10 minutes. Once the sauce has started to thicken, add bay leaf, @mina harrisa and an additional 2T of olive oil. Cook for a few more minutes and taste for seasoning.
While the sauce cooks, boil potatoes in salted water. Once they’re knife tender drain, slice in half and saute cut side down in a skillet with 1T butter, 1T olive oil, 2 gloves of whole peeled garlic and 1T of parsley until golden brown.
Grill peppers over an open flame. Once they are blackened and charred, place them in a ziplock bag and let steam for 15 minutes. Remove skin with a paring knife and cut into quarters. Toss the pepper slices with 2T olive oil, salt, 1T parsley, 1t of cumin, 2 cloves of grated garlic and the juice from half of a lime.
In a non-stick skillet, cook the fish in 1T of butter, 2T of olive oil and a rosemary spring.
To serve, arrange your potatoes, peppers and fish on top of the tomato sauce, garnish with remaining parsley and enjoy!

Lemon Zest: From 2 lemons
Lemon Juice: From 2 Lemons
Tomato Paste: 4 Tbsp
Garlic: 10 Cloves
Parsley: 4 Tbsp
Cilantro: 4 Tbsp
Olive Oil: 6 Tbsp
Sea Salt: 2 tsp
Pepper: 2 tsp
Paprika: 2 Tbsp
Coriander: 2 Tbsp
Cumin: 2 Tbsp
Chili Powder: ½ tsp
Water: 100 ml / 3.4 fl oz
3 Big Potatoes
3 Big Tomatoes
3 Red Onions
3 Green Bell Peppers
2 whole fish (Whatever is available in your area)
