1/4 c Bourbon 3/4 c Golden raisins 1 Unflavored gelatin 1/4 c Cold water 3/4 c Sugar 3 tb Cornstarch 1 1/4 c Milk 2 Eggs; well beaten 1 tb Butter or margarine 1/2 ts Vanilla extract 1 c Whipping cream; whipped 1 Baked 9-inch pastry shell Ground nutmeg Recipe by: Southern Living Combine bourbon and raisins; cover and let stand overnight. Soften gelatin in cold water; set aside. Combine sugar and cornstarch in a heavy saucepan. Gradually stir milk and eggs into sugar mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add butter and gelatin, stirring until gelatin dissolves. Chill 30 minutes, but do not let mixture gel. Add raisin mixture and vanilla; blend well. Fold in whipped cream; pour into pastry shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Chill at least 4 hours before -----

Sour Cream Raisin Pie Redo
Another weird recipe from my mom's collection. Yeah, I know, it sounds gross, but my family loves it.
Sour Cream Raisin Pie
1 baked pie crust 1 c raisins 1 c water ¾ c + 6 T sugar 3 eggs separated 1 ½ T cornstarch salt 1 t vanilla
Boil raisins, water and ¾ c sugar for 5 minutes, temper in sour cream, egg yolks, cornstarch, salt and vanilla and cook till thickened. Pour into baked crust Make a meringue by beating egg whites and 6 T sugar until medium peaks form, Gently cover pie and bake at 400 degree (8-10 minutes) or until golden brown.
