BEEF SHISH KABOBS (with the best marinade) for the ultimate summer grilling recipe!
Beef shish kabobs are the ultimate summer grilling recipe. Juicy and tender sirloin steak is soaked in the best beef marinade, then threaded on skewers with onion, bell peppers, and mushrooms before being tossed on a hot grill for a quick 15 minutes until perfectly browned. Hello, summer cookouts and dinner parties!
I've been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and have eaten numerous versions of shish kabobs (also spelled shish kebab). And if you go beyond the Middle East, different cultures have their own twist on it with a variety of marinades, veggies, and meats such as lamb, pork, or chicken. But today I'm highlighting a classic beef shish kabob recipe threaded with chunky steak bites and colorful sliced vegetables.

Grilled Sirloin Steak Kabobs | I Heart Recipes
Hey friends! I’m making Grilled Sirloin Steak, Onion and Sweet Peppers Kabobs:
Since these are SIRLOIN kabobs, of course, sirloin is needed. Make sure you remove almost all of the excess fat. The fat will add flavor and keep the steak juicy. I used a variety of sweet bell peppers: orange, red, yellow, and green. I used wooden skewer sticks and before I assembled the kabobs, I soaked the sticks for 30 minutes. Soaking the wooden sticks prevents the sticks from burning while grilling. Begin alternating the peppers, onions and cubes of steak onto the skewers. You can sear the outsides of the steak first, and then grill until all the way cooked. These Grilled Sirloin Steak, Onion and Sweet Pepper Kabobs are super colorful and full of flavor!
Find the recipe here:
Timestamps for video:
0:30 - Cut the sirloin into cubes.
0:35 - Trim the excess fat.
0:40 - Chop the red onion and peppers.
0:47 - Place the sirloin and veggies into a large bowl.
0:52 - Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
0:57 - Drizzle with worcestershire sauce.
1:05 - Sprinkle on steak seasoning.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak with Onions ???????? {Better than takeout!}
SLOW COOKER PEPPER STEAK WITH ONIONS
--------------Click on SHOW MORE to see the FULL RECIPE--------------
This is my tried and true recipe for pepper steak! I make a concentrated sauce that goes into the slow cooker with beef, bell peppers and onion. It thickens into a velvety smooth gravy, perfect over rice.
PRINTABLE RECIPE AND NUTRITIONAL INFO:
RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs. beef strips Look for beef cut into strips already or buy top sirloin and cut into 1/2 inch strips (round steak works well too).
1 green bell pepper sliced thick
1 red bell pepper sliced thick
1 white onion sliced
For the sauce:
1/2 cup water
2 beef bouillon cubes
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)
SLOW COOKER SIZE:
4-quart or larger
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a small microwavable bowl add the water and the beef bouillon cubes. Place in the microwave for 30 seconds, mix until dissolved. I use the back of a spoon or the tip of a whisk to break up the bouillon cubes. (If you don't have a microwave, boil your water on the stove-top).
Add the soy sauce, Worchestershire sauce, ginger, garlic powder, pepper, brown sugar and cornstarch to the bowl with the water and bouillon. Whisk until smooth. (Add the red pepper flakes if you desire). Pour this mixture into the slow cooker.
Add the beef, bell peppers and onions onto the sauce in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours.
