How To make Sour Cream Raisin Pie
1 ea 8 unbaked pie shell
1 c dairy sour cream
1 ts vanilla
1/4 ts nutmeg
1/2 c sour cream for topping (opt)
1 c all-purpose flour
1/3 c shortening
2 ea large eggs
3/4 c sugar
1/4 ts salt
Raisins pie s:
1/2 ts salt
3 tb cold milk
Beat eggs,1 cup sour cream,sugar,vanilla,salt and nutmeg together until well blended.Stir in raisins.Pour into pie shell. Bake,below oven center,in moderate hot oven (375 degrees) for 40 minutes,just until set.Cool.If desired,top servings with sour cream. Combine flour with salt.Cut in shortening until particles are pea size.Sprinkle with milk to make a stiff dough.Roll on lightly floured board or cloth to fit a 8" pie tin.Fold edge under and flute rim. -----

October is here! We love this time of year! Halloween fun! This was a request from a view and we wanted to say thank you for the submission. Well we did some homework and here it is. Sour Cream Pie! We were a bit nervous at first but it actually came out really good. A bit on the tart side but not bad, plus it was so simple to make! Give this one a try!

2 Cups Sour Cream
5 Tablespoons Sugar
4 Eggs
1 Gram cracker Pie Crust
1 Pint Raspberries

The creamy Sour Cream and Raisin mixture layer hides between a crunchy brown sugar crust that you make from scratch!

Jolene's Sour Cream Raisin Bars
1 Cup Brown Sugar
½ Cup Margarine
1-3/4 Cup Quick Cooking Oatmeal
1-3/4 Cup Flour
1TSP Soda
Mix Ingredients until Crumbly
Pat ½ of Crumbs in 9X13 Pan
Bake 7 Minutes at 350
Filling
1 ½ Cups Sour Cream
3 Egg Yolks
1 Cup Sugar
2 ½ TSP Cornstarch
1 TSP Vanilla
Cook on Low heat until thickened. Add 2 Cups Raisins which have been steamed 10 minutes (add water over Raisins Barely, 10 minutes) Pour Filling over crumb crust and cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 30 minutes in 350 Oven

This is one of my grandma's family recipes that has been handed down through the ages. Waste not want not. This pie sounds weird, I get it! I thought it was too when I was younger. It has warm spices and a richness that falls right in line with the holidays! Give this a try, you won't be disappointed!
3/4 Cup sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp each of cinnamon, nutmeg & clove
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1.5 Cups of raisins
1 egg
1 pint of sour cream
2 pie crusts (one for bottom & one for top) - your choice to use store bought ones or make them from scratch

Pinch salt
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1/8 tablespoon ground cloves
1 cup sour cream
1/2 whole milk
3 egg yolks
1 nub butter ( 2 tablespoons)
