3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp complete seasoning
1 tsp black pepper
2 packs pumpkin soup mix
8 cups hot water
1 cup coconut milk

Learn how to fry Bangda fish at home in quick and easy way with Chef Varun Inamdar
Bangda fry is a crispy fish fry dish made from marinating Mackerel fish with Indian spices. It taste amazing and it's a wonderful treat for sea food lovers. So watch and learn how to make Bangda Fish Fry at home only on Get Curried.
Ingredients
1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
6 tbsp red chilli pwd
¼ cumin seeds
4-5 peppercorn
1 inch Cinnamon stick
5 Cloves
pinch Fenugreek seeds
¼ tsp brown or black mustard seeds
¼ tsp turmeric powder
Salt as required
1 tsp Sugar
200 ml White Vinegar
Besan for frying
5 Mackerel fish or any of your choice
Method
- Marinate the banga fish with salt, turmeric powder and keep it aside for some time.
- Grind all the spices together – pepper corns, cinnamon stick, cumin seeds, fenugreek, sugar, cloves, mustard seeds, chilli powder, turmeric, salt, ginger garlic paste and vinegar and run it into a fine smooth paste.
- Add vinegar to get the paste consitency.
- Apply the masala to the fish.
- Heat some oil in pan, and keep the gas on medium flame.
- Sprinkle the besan top of the fish, flip it and again sprinkle it with besan
- Fry the fish in the pan, make sure they are cook evenly from both the sides.
- For plating place the fish fry along with add some lime wedges and coriander leaves.
- Bangda Fish Fry is ready to be served.

Salt (ഉപ്പ്) - ¾ + 1½ Teaspoon
Lime / Lemon Juice (നാരങ്ങാനീര്) - 1 Teaspoon
Coconut Oil (വെളിച്ചെണ്ണ) - 3+2 Tablespoons
Cardamom (ഏലക്ക) - 4 Nos
Clove (ഗ്രാമ്പൂ) - 6 Nos
Cinnamon Stick (കറുവപ്പട്ട) - 3 Inch Piece
Ginger (ഇഞ്ചി) - 1½ Inch Piece
Garlic (വെളുത്തുള്ളി) - 8 Cloves
Green Chilli (പച്ചമുളക്) - 4 Nos
Onion (സവോള) - 1 No (125 gm)
Curry Leaves (കറിവേപ്പില) - 2 Sprigs
Coriander Powder (മല്ലിപ്പൊടി) - 1 Teaspoon
Thin Coconut Milk (കട്ടി കുറഞ്ഞ തേങ്ങാപ്പാൽ / രണ്ടാം പാൽ) - 1½ Cup
Tomato (തക്കാളി) - 1 No
Thick Coconut Milk (കട്ടി കൂടിയ തേങ്ങാപ്പാൽ / ഒന്നാം പാൽ) - 1 Cup
Vinegar (വിനാഗിരി) - ½ Tablespoon
