How To Make Stained-Glass Christmas Cookies
This cookie recipe requires cookie dough, hard candy, and a rolling pin. You can buy cookie dough or find yummy cookie dough recipes at BHG.com/recipes. Use the rolling pin to roll out the cookie dough until it is flat and smooth. Take your favorite holiday cookie cutters and create beautiful designs, then place cookies on a baking pan covered in foil. Place your hard candy in a plastic bag and smash it up with the rolling pin until it is finely crushed. Cut smaller shapes out of your cookies and, using hard candies of different colors, put little bits of candy into the hole you have created with the smaller cookie cutters. Once your candy is placed, pop your cookies in the oven. You will get the stained-glass look once cookies are done baking and the candy melts. Peel your baked cookies off the baking pan and you have a beautiful treat to serve to your family and friends.

How to Make Stained Glass Christmas Cookies
Full Recipe:
Stained glass cookies are SO EASY to make and beautiful to look at. I love seeing light peek through the centers and yes, you can decorate your tree with them, or you might prefer snacking on them straight out of the oven! There are no wrong answers here.
To make them all you have to do is cut your sugar cookies with a negative space inside, then crush your favorite hard candy and sprinkle it in the middle. Try not to get any hard candy on the sugar cookie as it will look messy. Also you really need a silicone baking mat for this, not sure baking paper would work for the release but you can let me know in the comments if you've tried it!

Stained Glass Cookies Recipe Demonstration - Joyofbaking.com
Recipe here: Stephanie Jaworski of Joyofbaking.com demonstrates how to make Stained Glass Cookies. Sugar Cookies are a sweet and tender cookie with wonderfully crisp edges. They are an American favorite and are especially popular during the Christmas season. You can turn Sugar Cookies into Stained Glass Cookies simply by cutting out the centers of the cookies and filling them with colorful crushed hard candy. The transformation takes place in the oven, when the candy melts making it look like colored glass. Pretty to look at and delicious to eat.
