What's For Dinner? (#125) | NEW Swiss Spaghetti Recipe | Easy Dinner Ideas!
Swiss Spaghetti:
1 pound of ground beef
½ cup of green pepper, chopped
½ cup of onion, chopped
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 cup of milk
½ cup of Colby cheese (or more to taste)
8 oz of cook spaghetti, cooked
Cook ground beef, green pepper and onion in a large skillet. Season according to taste. Drain meat and return to pan. Add soup, milk, and some of the cheese. Stir over medium heat until well combined. Add spaghetti to pan (and additional cheese if desired) and let cook over low heat for 5-10 minutes.

Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce - Swiss Style
Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce - Swiss Style
Recipe for 2 serving / about 500g per Person
(145kcal/100g)
Ingredients:
Sauce:
2 Tbsp Olive oil (15g)
1x Garlic clove (6g)
1x Onion, small (25g)
1x can Tomato, canned (400g)
Salt & Pepper
Pasta:
2/3 package Spaghetti, dry (320g)
2 tsp Butter (20g)
Salt for the cooking water.
1 piece Swiss Cheese (i.e. Gruyere) (about 70g)
Preparation method Sauce:
- Peel and finely chop the garlic and onion.
- Put olive oil in a small pan, heat and sauté briefly the chopped garlic and onion.
- Add a tin of tomatoes and use a ladle to crush the tomatoes in the pan.
- Bring the sauce to the boil, season with salt and pepper and continue cooking on a low heat until the spaghetti is done.
Preparation method Pasta:
- Bring a pan of water to the boil and salt with about 3 teaspoons of salt.
- Boil spaghetti in salted water al dente and pour off the boiling water.
- Add butter and mix well until the butter is melted.
Put spaghetti on a plate, add tomato sauce on top, grate cheese on top and enjoy.
Notice:
- This is a basic recipe, many Swiss people add various ingredients.
For example, the sauce can be refined with herbs like basil, parsley or lovage.
Sometimes the spaghetti is mixed with olive oil instead of butter or a little bit of “Aromat” (MSG-Seasoning) is added.
Spaghetti with tomato sauce are very popular in Switzerland and absolutely everybody should be able to cook this dish :D

Cooking time: 15min
Start to Finish: 25min
Shelf life:
The spaghetti and tomato sauce can be kept well covered in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
The tomato sauce can also be frozen for up to 6 months.
