URAI Kitchen 2022 - Cheesy Seafood Bee Hoon
Bee Hoon Lovers, here’s a terrific recipe to tame your little picky eater, Cheesy Seafood Bee Hoon! The great texture of Bihun Jagung URAI is served in buttery, cheesy and creamy soup combined with the umami taste of tender prawns. This simple and tasty dish is ready to win your kid’s heart! ????????
Ingredients:
2 pcs Bihun Jagung URAI
For sauce:
5 tbsp butter
1 medium onion, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 large prawns, shell on
½ tbsp ginger, grated
2 tbsp flour
500 ml chicken stock
300 ml evaporated milk
100 g cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsp sugar
Salt, pepper and sugar to taste
For garnish:
Coriander leaves
Directions:
1. Cook Bihun Urai according to instructions on pack. Set aside.
2. Heat butter in a sauce pan over medium heat, add garlic and onion. Cook until translucent and fragrant, then add prawns and ginger. Add flour after prawns changed color, stir well
3. Pour in stock and keep stirring until the broth thickened, then add milk and cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Bring the broth to boil and set aside
4. Place bihun on a serving bowl, add the prawn and pour the broth. Garnish with the coriander leaves. Serve immediately.
For 3 servings

cookie press If you do not have a cookie press you can roll and cut the dough.
INGREDIENTS
1 pound Sharp cheddar cheese For food color cheese straws use white cheddar
1.5 cups All purpose flour
1/4 cup butter softened
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper I used a tiny bit more
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
You can use regular orange colored sharp cheddar and make traditional cheese straws or use white cheddar for use with food coloring to achieve a unique look.
Shred sharp cheddar cheese. Mix all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until well blended. The original instructions from my mother say to pulse until a dough ball forms; however, I have not been able to get it there without the use of a mixer. I pulse the food processor until all is blended and then transfer it to my mixer with a dough hook to achieve the dough ball state. If you are adding food coloring
I use a cookie press to create strips to bake but you can roll and cut this dough.
Bake cheese straws for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Transfer the baked cheese straws to a cooling rack. Once cooled, cheese straws can be stored in a closed container or frozen to save for later.

Recreating Marie Callender’s Cream Cheese Pie | Natty Bee
Welcome back to my channel, for those of you that are new here, welcome! ????
Today's video I'm going to recreate a cream cheese pie from Marie Callender’s nder’s and it is my #1 favorite pie to get it there and I love it, plus I love strawberry toppings on it as well.

I followed a recipe from 5 Boys Baker but I made the recipe a little different than theirs:
Directions:
Pie Crust
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Take two packages of graham crackers and crumble them in a blender on medium speed and take 1 1/2 cups of the crumbs and put them into a large bowl.
3. Add sugar and cinnamon and mix until well combined, add the melted butter after.
4. Put the crumbs into a 9-inch round pie pan and press them firmly with your clean hands or with a round kitchen product and bake the crust into a preheated oven for about seven minutes. Let the crust cool for about 15 minutes before pouring in the batter.
Cream Cheese Mix
1. In a large bowl or mixing bowl, cream the cream cheese on medium-low speed for two minutes.
2. Add in the sugar and mix, add in the eggs one at a time and mix it up, add vanilla extract and mix, and it is up to you that you can add in a pinch of salt if you like.
3. Pour the batter into the crust, spread it around evenly and bake the pie into a preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes.
Sour Cream Mix
1. In a small bowl, mix together the sour cream, sugar and vanilla extract. You can add a pinch a salt if you like.
2. Let the pie cool for about 5 minutes before putting the sour cream on top. Pour the sour cream on top and spread around evenly and bake the pie back into a preheated oven for 10 more minutes.
3. After taking the pie out of the oven, let it cool for an hour at room temperature and then let the pie cool into a refrigerator for 4 hours before serving.
4. Enjoy the pie!
Tips:
1. The recipes are into the video and into the link from 5 boys baker.
2. Make sure that the cream cheese and eggs are left at room temperature before using.
3. If you are using a pie pan pyrex, put the pie on rack to let it cool off, and don't put it on the stove nor a cold place, or else the pie pan will be shattered.
