How To make Amish Sugar Pie
1 Unbaked 8" pie shell
1 c Brown sugar
3 tb Flour
1/4 ts Salt
1 1/2 c Evaporated milk
3 tb Butter
Cinnamon to taste The following is a Sugar Pie recipe that came from Northern Indiana and is an old Amish recipe. It is very, very good - and different. Preheat oven to 350F. In a small bowl blend together the sugar, flour and salt. Spread in bottom of pie shell. Pour the milk over the sugar mixture, but do not stir. Dot with the butter and sprinkle cinnamon over all. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until filling bubbles in center.
This will not be a firm custard, so don't despair if it doesn't look like the custard pies you are accustomed to! Pie is best served at room temperature.JM. From Peggy Makolondra <pmakolon@mail.wiscnet.net> -----

This Amish Vanilla Crumb Pie Is Sinfully Delicious!
In this video, I will walk you though how to make an Amish Vanilla Crumb Pie also known as a Pennsylvania Dutch Vanilla Pie. I found recipes for one or two pies. Most old recipes that I have found usually made more than one pie because while waste your time only making one pie when you had at least 10 kids back over a hundred years ago. This is a very similar recipe to the Shoo Fly Pie that is popular in Southern Pennsylvania.

Amish Sugar Cream Pie: Both Classic and Low Sugar Versions
Please like and subscribe to get first notice when I add new videos each week. Thanks!
Amish Sugar Cream Pie is a dessert classic, but not very diabetic friendly. In his video I show you how to make either version: Classic or Low Sugar. Cream pies are the easiest desserts to translate to no sugar added versions, and this one turned out just great.
Here is the link to my Ridiculously Easy Food Processor Pie Crust.
Amish Sugar Cream Pie, Low Sugar Version. Video tomorrow.
Recipe Amish Sugar Cream Pie
Recipe - Amish Sugar Cream Pie
INGREDIENTS:
●1 9 unbaked pie shell
●3 tablespoons flour
●1 1/2 cups sugar
●1/8 teaspoon salt
●1 1/2 cups heavy cream
●1 tablespoon butter , melted
●1/2 teaspoon vanilla
●1 dash nutmeg
●1 dash cinnamon
Classic Sugar Cream Pie
While we all know and love a good cream pie, typically our options are limited to banana cream or coconut cream when we see them on restaurant menus. We have absolutely nothing against either of those classics, but when we got a craving for cream pie the other week we knew we wanted to make something that’s just as classic but not quite as standard as the aforementioned desserts: sugar cream pie!
This recipe makes a creamy, custardy pie that has a lovely “crust” on top that crackles slightly as it cooks, which gives it some visual interest and makes it even yummier. If you’re looking for something indulgent, without being over the top, this is the perfect dessert. It’s a departure from the norm, all the while being as close to comfort food as it gets. You can’t go wrong!
