How To make Apple Schnapps Cake
2 1/2 c Flour
2 c Sugar
1/4 ts Baking powder
1 1/2 ts Baking soda
1 1/2 ts Salt
3/4 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Cloves
1/2 ts Allspice
1/2 c Butter
1/2 c Apple schnapps
1 1/2 c Applesauce
2 Eggs
1/2 c Nuts; chopped
1 c Raisins (optional)
Cream butter, add applesuace and apple schnapps, beat well. Add dry ingredients and beat for 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat for another 2 minutes. Stir in nuts, and raisins. Grease and flour bundt pan. Bake at 350~ for 45 -50 minutes. Cool.

Today we are brewing up a kitchen witch spell for love and romance. A sweet sip of winter magick to fire up a love interest's feelings or bring some romance into your relationship.
But even if you don't try to enchant a potential partner, this is still a wonderful warming drink for cozy winter evenings at the fireplace. Made with traditional flavors of the season - a delicious apple and spice liqueur.
It tastes delicious, chilled over some ice, or as a warming winter drink - maybe out of a thermos on a long walk together. It would also make a cute DIY Christmas gift or you can even use it to add some extra pizzazz to your kitchen witch baking.
The ethics of love spells are a heavily debated topic. In my opinion magic can only help along energies that are already present and always have to be followed up by mundane efforts in order to work. So I do not think we have the power to magically force our will on anyone else if there is nothing there to feed into.
Spiced Apple Liqueur Recipe
500 ml apple juice
150 ml dry white wine
30 g vanilla sugar
50 g sugar
50 g brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 star anise
5 cloves
1 vanilla bean
100 ml calvados
150 ml brown rum
40 ml amaretto
Spiced Apple Cider Love Potion (non-alcoholic)
x reduce sugar by half
x leave out all alcohol and replace with black tea

Absolutely incredible apple liqueur - and so easy to make!
I actually impressed myself with how good this home made apple liqueur is. I thoroughly recommend you try making some. This is basically 600ml of whiskey and 300ml of apple syrup and the finishing touch is to age it in a barrel for four weeks.

BETH'S EASY APPLE TURNOVER RECIPE
Makes 8
For the filling:
2 cups (300g) granny smith apples (diced)
4 tbsp (46 g) brown sugar
2 tbsp (25 g)white sugar
6 tbsp (60 g) raisins
¾ tsp (3 g) cinnamon
½ tsp (2.5 g) nutmeg
2 tbsp (30 ml) lemon juice
8 tbsp (120 g) butter
1 egg
1 tsp (5 ml) water
2 sheets of store-bought puffed pastry (Trader Joe's Brand if you can find it)
3 tbsp (37 g) flour (for surface and for fork)
2 tsp (10 g) Turbinado sugar for garnish
For the whipped cream:
2 cups (480 ml) heavy cream
2 tbsp (13 g) powdered sugar
1 tbsp (15 ml) Calvados Liquor or 1 tbsp (15 ml) vanilla extract
METHOD:
Peel and dice the apples and transfer to a large bowl.
Add the brown sugar, white sugar, spices, raisins and lemon juice. Toss with your hands.
Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 4x4 squares.
In a small bowl whisk together egg and water to create an egg wash. Lightly brush egg wash around the perimeter of each square on all sides, creating a border. Spoon 2 tbsp (20 g) of the apple mixture into the center of the square. Top with 1 tbsp (15 g) of butter. Fold pastry over to create a triangle, and with the tines of a fork that has been dipped in flour, press the pastry down to create a seal, on all sides.
Transfer to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly brush the tops of the turnovers with egg wash and sprinkle lightly with the turbinado sugar. (DO NOT add too much sugar or it will cause the tops to burn. A light sprinkle is all you need)
Place turnovers in a preheated oven, according to the package instructions. Bake 20-25 mins until the turnovers are golden brown and puffed up.

Fall is approaching and with it comes apples! In this video we share how we make crabapple liqueur. This recipe has a great shelf life and tastes amazing! This has been a hit with everyone who tries it.
The recipe is the same as the recipe we used for the blackberry liqueur in episode 26.
Use a 1 Liter mason jar, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup vodka and then enough fruit to fill to the top. Be sure to cram it in there, then top with extra vodka till the jar is full. Place jars on their side, out of direct sunlight. Turn each jar 1/4 everyday, for 14 days. Strain well, bottle and enjoy.

Think: caramelized and spiced apples mixed together with a poppy seed sponge and drizzled with Schnapps. Things really can’t get more Austrian than that!
