Hey everyone welcome back to my channel!! I missed you all so much and am happy to be back! Today in honor of Valentine's Day I'm going to show you how to make these incredibly unique and delicious Turkish delight rose scones. These reminded me of a mile high biscuit because of all its delicious layers of buttery goodness. Make these for any loved one and their day will just be brightened up! Rose water:
Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp cream of tartar pinch salt 4 oz butter cold 6 oz milk 1 tbs rose water 3.5 oz Turkish delight cut up egg wash (1 egg + 2 tbs water)
Rose icing: 1 cup powdered sugar 2-3 tbs water 1 tsp rose water pink food coloring edible rose petals
Directions: preheat oven to 400 F. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and tartar in a bowl then add the cold cut up butter. Pinch it into the flour until sandy texture then add the milk and rose water. Try not to overman and form the dough into a log shape. Cut into 6 pieces and place on a silicon lined baking sheet. Brush the cut up scones with the beaten egg wash and Bake for 15 minutes until scones are golden brown on top and bottom. Make the glaze by combining the ingredients until thick and spoon on top of the warm scones. Sprinkle the scones with dried rose petals if you like.
