Was Junior's Cheesecake in NYC worth the walk for DaBand?
This is an episode we shot in 2019 that I felt wasn't strong enough but with what's going on in the world I figure I might as well release it. Enjoy!
As far as Junior's Cheesecake it was everything they said it was. Lived up to the hype and once you walk in you get that throwback diner experience.

The Best Cheesecake In NYC | Best In Town
Herrine Ro and Erin Kommor search New York City to find the best New York-style cheesecake. They visit Veniero’s, a classic Italian bakery that’s been operating for over 120 years; Eileen’s Special Cheesecake, an award-laden spot with dozens of specialty flavors; and Mah-Ze-Dahr, a newcomer with a gourmet twist on a classic recipe. They try the most popular cheesecake at each spot and declare which is the best in town.
Editor’s note: This episode was filmed in December 2019 and January 2020. All New York restaurants remained closed to dine-in service, but check out the bakeries’ websites for current takeout, delivery, and shipping options.

I Found NYC’s Best Cheesecake!
MRM Profile-Brooklyn Comfort Food... and Cheesecake
Who makes the world's best cheesecake?
For many, the answer to the question is Junior's Restaurant. A New York City staple since 1950, Junior’s features a menu of Brooklyn comfort food in addtion to the delectable cheesecake.
Founded by Harry Rosen on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, the family-run brand spread its roots with locations in Times Square and at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. In 2015, Junior’s opened a 103,000 square foot bakery in Burlington, New Jersey, that spans seven acres and ships cheesecakes across the world. In fall of 2016, Junior’s opened its location in Boca Raton, Florida and in spring of 2017, Junior’s opened an additional location in Manhattan on 49th Street and Broadway.
In this MRM Profile, third-generation owner Alan Rosen discusses operations, e-commerce and retail, future plans for growing the brand's footprint and, of course, cheesecake.
