DIRECTIONS
1. In a small saucepan, combine soft caramels and heavy cream over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring often, until the caramel is melted, about 15 minutes. Stir in flaky sea salt.
2. Serve warm with green apples, graham crackers and pretzels for dipping.

Salted Caramel Fondue/ How to make Salted Caramel fondue
Fondue is a European dish consisting of a melting sauce in a communal pot which is then eaten by dipping bits of food in it. The most common ones are cheese fondue and chocolate fondue.

Ingredients:
For Caramel Sauce Sugar – 1 cup Water – 1/4th cup Cream – 200 ml Sea salt/rock salt – ½ tsp
Fondue Platter Apple – 1 (chopped into 1 inch cubes) Plum – 1 (chopped into 1 inch cubes) Pear – 1 (chopped into 1 inch cubes) Bread sticks – 2
Preparation Method:
In a saucepan over medium heat, mix together granulated sugar and 1/4 cup water. Scrape down sides of pan and let sugar boil, without stirring, until sugar reaches a golden amber colour.
During this process brush the sides of the pan with cold water; this prevents crystallisation of the sugar. If the sugar becomes too dark, it may turn the caramel bitter.
Remove sugar from heat and allow to rest for a full minute before pouring in warmed cream. Whisk vigorously to incorporate cream (caramel will bubble up violently so be very careful!).
If the caramel seizes up, place caramel back over medium heat and stir until sugar melts once again and caramel becomes smooth (this could take upwards of 5-7 minutes). Stir in salt.
To store, keep refrigerated in an air-tight container. To warm, place in the microwave for 30 seconds to heat through. Transfer to a bowl. Prepare fondue platter with cubed fruits, bread sticks, cake cubes or any food of choice.
