How To make Cayenne Pepper Wafers
1/2 lb Gruyere cheese, grated
1 c Unsalted butter, at room
Temperature 1 ts Cayenne pepper
1 ts Salt
2 1/2 c Sifted all-purpose flour
1 c Chopped walnuts or pecans.
Heat the oven to 350F. Cream the cheese and butter. Sift together the cayenne pepper, salt and flour; add gradually to the butter mixture. Add the chopped nuts and mix well. Divide the dough in half and shape into logs 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. With a sharp knife, cut the logs into 1/4-inch thick slices. Place the wafers 1 to 2 inches apart on the baking sheets. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until lightly colored. Cheese Wafers
Ingredients
8 Tbsp Butter, softened (1 stick)
2 cup shredded Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese (about 8 ounces)
1 cup Flour
Pinch Cayenne
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a large baking sheet.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and cheese with a fork, until incorporated. Then mix in the flour and cayenne pepper. Pour the mixture out onto a clean surface and work the dough until it comes together.
3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls, place on a buttered baking sheet, and flatten with the heel of your hand or the bottom of a measuring cup until the balls are about ½ inch thick . Bake, uncovered, for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
You can make these wafers 1 or 2 days ahead and store them in an airtight container.

Cranberry Pecan Cheese Wafers:
3/4 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup chopped craisins
1 cup butter, softened
8 oz extra sharp cheddar, shredded
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 cups flour
In a mixer combine butter, cheese, salt and cayenne. Gradually add flour until combine. Stir in pecans and craisins. Shape dough into two (10” long) logs and wrap with plastic wrap. Chill in the fridge from 8 hours or up to 3 days. Before baking cut each log into 1/4” slices and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 13-15 minutes. Allow to cool fully before serving.

Crispy fried okra.
Ingredients:
2 packs okras
1 egg
A dash of curry
Rice flour
Cayenne pepper
Black Himalayan salt or salt of your choice
Method:
Thoroughly wash and dry okras cut in half
Beat egg and add curry power. Mix beaten egg with okras, then lightly cover okras with flour.
Heat oil to 350 degrees fry until golden.
Sprinkle salt and pepper to your liking.
