How To make Chilied Red Bean Dip
2 tb Corn oil
1 Garlic clove, crushed
1 Onion, finely chopped
1 Fresh green chili, seeded,
-finely chopped 1 ts Hot chili powder
1 cn Red kidney beans (15 oz)
1/2 c Shredded Cheddar cheese
Salt to taste Thin slivers fresh red and -green chilies Fresh parsley sprig (opt) Tortilla chips Heat oil in a skillet. Add garlic, onion, green chili and chili powder and cook gently 4 minutes. Drain kidney beans, reserving juice. Reserve 3 tablespoons beans; process remainder in a blender or food processor to a puree. Add to onion mixture and stir in 2 tablespoons of reserved bean liquid; mix well. Stir in reserved beans and cheese. Cook gently about 2 minutes, stirring until cheese melts. Add salt and mix well. If mixture becomes too thick, add a little more reserved bean liquid. Spoon into a serving dish and garnish with chilies and parsley sprig, if desired. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Now chili is a really complex recipe, there are a billion and one ways to make it and this is just ONE way, and the key to an award winning chili at home is to make it your own. That’s the key to any award winning recipe.
In this recipe we’re using
3 ½ lbs ground beef
½ onion
3 garlic cloves
4 tbs chili powder 3 Fiesta / 1 Gephart
2 tsp smoked paprika
¼ cup tomato paste
1 bell pepper
2 tsp cumin
½ tsp oregano
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 TBS OG - add to taste at end
1 TBS WOW -add to taste at the end
3 Roma tomatoes
We’re also adding
Mirepiox
(thats ½ chopped onion, ¼ cup chopped carrots, ¼ cup chopped celery)
2 TSP Better than Bouillon or use beef broth in place of water
2 TBS masarina or flour to thicken if necessary or desired
Condiments at my house
Onions
cheese
Salsa verde to taste
Chili piquin to taste
Habanero to taste
Beans of your choice, yes i said beans haha
Now here is the biggest pro tip that the chili champs use – brown your meat over high heat before adding it to the dish. This will take your recipe to a whole other level of flavor nirvana.

Chilli Bean Dip
The chilli bean dip is a creamy yet spicy combo of baked beans, spring onions, garlic, spices, and gooey cheese spread! Kids will also want to have a go at this dip, since it is loaded with cheese. So, if you plan to serve to kids too, cut down on the chilli powder a bit. Serve warm with chips, garlic bread or toasted bread rolls.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 7 minutes
Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
3/4 cup baked beans (canned)
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions whites
1/4 cup finely chopped spring onion greens
1/4 cup cheese spread
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
For Serving

Method
1. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds.
2. When the seeds crackle, add the garlic and spring onion whites and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Add the spring onion greens and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
4. Add the baked beans, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously wish a masher.
5. Add the cheese spread, chilli powder, salt, coriander and 2 tbsp of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
6. Serve warm with chips.
