Casserole 4 c Cubed cooked turkey
3 c Cubed cooked ham
1 c Shredded cheddar cheese
1 c Chopped onion
1/4 c Butter or margarine
1/3 c All purpose flour
2 c Light cream
1 ts Dill weed
1/8 ts Dry mustard
1/8 ts Ground nutmeg
TOPPING:
1 c Dry bread crumbs
2 ts Melted butter or margarine
1/4 ts Dry dill weed
1/4 c Shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c Chopped walnuts
In a large bowl, combine turkey, ham and cheese, set aside. In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Add flour, stir to form a paste. Gradually add cream stirring constantly. Bring to a boil, boil 1 minute or until thick. Add dill, mustard and nutmeg, mix well. For the topping, toss bread crumbs, butter and dill; stir in cheese and walnuts. Sprinkle over the casserole. Chicken Cordon Bleu Bubble-Up Bake | Pillsbury
Love chicken cordon bleu, but don’t feel like spending hours in the kitchen? Then this twist on the traditional chicken cordon bleu recipe is for you! Packed with ham, chicken and Swiss cheese and topped with Pillsbury biscuits, it’s an easy weeknight dinner that the whole family will love—even the picky eaters!

Ingredients
1 container (8 oz) chives-and-onion cream cheese
1 package (8 oz) shredded Swiss cheese (2 cups)
3/4 cup milk
1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers refrigerated Original biscuits
2 cups chopped deli rotisserie chicken
1 cup diced cooked ham (about 8 oz)
Sliced green onions, if desired
Steps
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray.
2. In large microwavable bowl, mix cream cheese and 1 cup of the Swiss cheese. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds, until softened and cheese is starting to melt; add additional 30-second intervals as needed. Beat in milk with whisk until mostly smooth; mixture may still be slightly lumpy.
3. Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut each into sixths. Gently stir into cream cheese mixture; stir in chicken and ham. Spoon into baking dish. Top with remaining 1 cup cheese.
4. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until deep golden brown and biscuits are baked through. Sprinkle with green onions.

INGREDIENTS
3 cups chopped cooked chicken breast
6 tbsp butter, divided
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 1/2 tbsp flour
3 cups milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 lb thinly sliced ham
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1 tbsp fresh chopped thyme
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Spread the chicken in an even layer in a 13x9 inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Whisk in the wine and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Whisk the flour into the butter mixture and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the mixture begins to turn golden.
Slowly whisk in the milk continuing to cook until the mixture is slightly thickened.
Stir in the garlic powder, mustard and cheese. Remove from the heat and continue stirring until smooth. Stir in the salt and pepper, to taste.
Pour the cheese sauce over the chicken.
Arrange the ham over the chicken and sprinkle with the remaining Swiss cheese. Set aside.
Melt the remaining butter in the microwave for 20 seconds. Stir the bread crumbs and thyme into the butter to combine.
Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture over the casserole and transfer to the oven.
Bake the casserole for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
Allow the casserole to rest for 10 minutes prior to serving.
RECIPE NOTES
To make this recipe gluten free, replace the flour with cornstarch and use a gluten free alternative bread crumb mixture.
To assemble the casserole in advance and bake later, assemble the whole casserole and skip the bread crumbs. Add the bread crumb mixture immediately prior to baking when ready.

Day 8 of the Casserole series
Chicken Cordon Blue Casserole
2 pounds chicken breast cut into bite size pieces
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 pound ham diced
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 cloves minced garlic
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
4 tbsp butter -divided
2 tbsp flour
1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
1 pound short cut pasta
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Lightly grease a 9x13 casserole dish.
Cook your pasta in salted water 1 minute shy of what the box directs, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water in case you need to thin your sauce later.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper and Sauté the chicken in the oil over medium high heat 5-7 minutes. When it’s almost done add the ham in to crisp it.
Add the chicken and ham and pan juices to the drained, cooked pasta and mix.
In the skillet you cooked the chicken in, add the butter and garlic.
When melted, whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk and cream and bring to a slow boil.
Add the shredded cheese and stir until melted.
Add in the Dijon mustard and more salt and pepper to taste. If the sauce seems too think add a little pasta water to it.
Pour the sauce in with the pasta and mix together. Pour everything into a greased 9x13 casserole dish.
Melt the other 2 tbsp butter in a pan, add the Panko and toast until golden brown, just a couple of minutes and sprinkle over the casserole.
Bake, uncovered, 15-20 minutes.
