Ingredients: •4 cups all purpose flour •6 teaspoons sugar •1 teaspoon salt •4 teaspoons baking powder •3 cups heavy cream
Directions: •Preheat an oven to 425 degrees. •In a large mixing bowl, mix together with a wooden spoon the all purpose flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. •Pour in in the heavy cream and lightly mix with a wooden spoon until most of the liquid is soaked up. Mix the rest by hand. Be careful not to over mix or the biscuits will become chewy, not flaky. •Lightly flower a flat surface. •Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, place on the floured surface and pat down until flat and the desired thickness (I like about ½ inch). •Dip a round cookie cutter in flour and cut circles out of the dough. •Place the circular dough on a parchment lined cookie sheet. •Mush the left over dough back together and repeat steps 4 - 7. Any dough left after cutting out circles for the third time will have to be thrown out. •Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15 - 17 minutes.
