How To make Crispy Breadsticks
1 c Quick Mix (msg# 120121)
1/4 c Cornmeal or all-purp flour
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 c Milk or water
Sesame or poppy seeds, if Desired Preheat oven to 400F (205C). Lightly grease baking sheet. In a medium bowl, combine Quick Mix, cornmeal or flour, and salt. Add milk or water to form dough. Knead about 12 times, until dough is smooth. Shape into pencil-like strands 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 8- to 10-inch lengths. Roll in sesame or poppy seeds, if desired. Bake about 20 minutes, until brown and crisp. For extra crispness, turn off oven and leave breadsticks in oven 5 to 10 more minutes. Ingredients:
1 large Puff pastry sheet, thawed
1/2 cup (50g) Parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon Oregano
3 tablespoons Olive oil/melted butter
2-3 garlic cloves, crushed
Flour for the work surface
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl whisk olive oil, oregano, and crushed garlic. Set aside.
3. On a lightly floured surface, unfold the puff pastry. Lightly sprinkle the pastry sheet with flour. Roll out puff pastry into ⅛-inch (1/4 cm) thick.
4. Brush half of the puff pastry with olive oil/butter mixture. Sprinkle parmesan on top, fold unbrushed part over the brushed part and gently press the pastry. Roll out the dough into ¼-inch (1/2cm).
5. Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the puff pastry in half, then slice the puff pastry crosswise into 1-inch (2.5cm) wide strips.
6. Gently twist pastry sticks, and place on a prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned and puffed. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Crunchy Italian Breadsticks - Grissini - Quick and Easy
Crunchy Italian Breadsticks, also called Grissini, are on the menu at Deep South Texas. This homemade bread is quick and easy to make and will impress the family. A great addition for a holiday meal, or just a snack. I have made 4 types. One with toasted sesame seeds, one with poppy seeds, one with Everything Bagel seasoning, and one with Montreal Stake seasoning (spicy). They turned out great. Recipe ingredients below.
Italian Breadsticks or Grissini
Makes 20 breadsticks
2/3 cups plus 1 teaspoon room temperature water
2 tsp Instant yeast
2 cups bread flour (all purpose flour should work)
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 Tablespoons olive oil
optional extras
1 Tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1 Tablespoon poppy seeds
1 Tablespoon Everything Bagel seasoning
1 Tablespoon Montreal Stake Seasoning
Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes, turning once

5g salt
12g white sugar
5g baking powder
3g baking soda
Mix well
135ml water
135ml milk
1 egg
Mix well
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients
Mix well
42g unsalted butter
Microwave for 20-30 seconds
Add to the dough
Knead the dough
Press on the dough like this
