Thermochef Date Bubble Bars video recipe cheekyricho
Date Bubble Bars
Video Cooking Demonstration and Recipe.
Using Thermochef Kitchen Appliance.
Ingredients
250 grams pitted dates
175 grams butter
75 grams raw sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
125 grams or 3 cups of Rice Bubbles or Puffed Rice
Method
Place dates, butter, sugar and cinnamon into the Thermochef bowl, set the speed to 3 Temperature 70 degrees celsius for 10 minutes.
Place the rice bubbles into a large mixing bowl and add the date mixture. Be very careful not to burn or cut yourself on the blades. This mixture must be worked whilst hot as it starts setting as it cools and may become difficult to work with.
Mix the date mixture well into the rice bubbles within smashing them up too much and when combine press the mixture into a 23 cm or 9' square tin.
Cool in the fridge, until set, for about 30 minutes and cut into squares.
Your Date Bubble Bars are now ready to eat, try stopping at one or two or three....
You can make this recipe on the stove top, however, the fruit must be chopped finely and stirred consistently. The resultant mixture will never be as thick and rich a paste as the Thermochef delivers, it will be delicious nonetheless.
