How To make Fried Meatballs
1 lb Ground beef 1 ds Onion powder
1/4 c Grated cheese 1/2 c Bread crumbs
1 tb Oregano 1 tb Parsley
1 ds Garlic powder 2 Eggs
Mix all ingredients together and form balls. Coat a large skillet with non-stick olive oil spray. Fry meatballs for about 10 minutes or until nice and brown. Store in an airtight container & refrigerator until ready to use, or drop immediately into tomato sauce and cook until sauce is heated through. Ralph’s is the oldest Italian restaurant in the country. Over the last 120 years, it has gained a reputation and loyal following for classic Italian American dishes like spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are made with a mix of ground beef and ground pork, which gives them a tender and velvety texture. Along with local customers, celebrities like Frank Sinatra and Taylor Swift have dined at this storied South Philly location. So, what makes the best homemade meatballs? We use 1/3 veal, 1/3 beef, 1/3 pork, and only the freshest ingredients. In this episode we went ahead and fried meatballs as well as baked them. My favorite way to eat them is by frying them, but baked Italian meatballs taste great as well. Once you have made and tasted these Italian meatballs, you will agree this is one of the best meatballs you will have ever eaten. Italian Meatball Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground veal
1 lb. ground pork
15 oz. Italian bread crumbs (Progresso)
1 head of fresh garlic (chopped)
2 cups of fresh parsley (chopped)
1 & 1/2 cups of grated Romano cheese
6 eggs
4 teaspoons of salt
1 & 1/2 teaspoons of black pepper
2 cups of water
If Baking the Meatballs, Preheat oven to 425 and let bake for about 30-40 minutes.
