How To make Gopher Orange Ice
3 pt Water
4 c Sugar
1 c Lemon juice
1 1/2 c Orange juice
1 Egg whites
1 tb Sugar
Make a syrup of water and sugar; when cool add lemon juice and orange juice; freeze and when half frozen add egg white, beaten well with sugar. Thoroughly beat it with the ice, finish freezing and serve. Strawberries or slices of pineapples gently stirred through just before serving (if added too long before, they freeze and are unpleasant to eat) make a delicious variety. *Pineapple Ice* may be made of canned pineapple using pint of juice, and gill lemon juice with above proportion of syrup, adding the pine-apple cut in dice just before serving, if wished. With all ices if is always add a gill of lemon juice, as the acid assists in the freezing and also adds to the flavor. Any proportions of the recipe may be made; above makes about two dozen dishes. Candy Corn Jello Shots
Supplies:
-20 plastic shot sized cups
Ingredients:
-7 oz. sweetened condensed milk
-Two packets of unflavored gelatin
-One 3 oz. box orange jello
-Yellow food coloring
-⅔ cup cake or vanilla flavored vodka(can substitute with water for those under 21 like we did in this video)
Directions:
1. Heat 1 ½ cup water in a saucepan and add the 2 packets of unsweetened gelatin, heat until 2. gelatin is dissolved(about 5 minutes)
3. In a separate bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk, then add the hot gelatin mixture until combined. Once combined add ⅔ cup vodka or water
4. Split the mixture in half, take one half and evenly distribute between the 20 cups(about 1 tbsp each)
5. Set completely in the fridge(about one hour)
6. Heat ¾ of a cup of water in the microwave until boiling, add the entirety of the orange jello and whisk until completely dissolved. After that, add ice cubes until the mixture is 2 cups of liquid.
7. Evenly distribute orange mixture over the 20 cups, make sure white layer has COMPLETELY SET before adding the orange layer. The orange layer should be thicker than the white, like candy corn.
8. Once completely set again, add yellow food coloring to the remaining half of your sweetened condensed milk mixture(if this has starting to seize up from the gelatin, you can warm it in the microwave for a few seconds).
9. Evenly distribute the yellow mixture over the orange layer of the shots AFTER the orange layer is completely set.
10. Chill and serve.
A Water Snake Takes a Nice Bite of a Girls Hand
This is an old clip that I just stumbled across and decided to post. After we got done kayaking Floyds Fork one day she decided to take a closer look at some of the native wildlife, and this healthy water snake wasn't as fond of her as she was it... These snakes are completely harmless to people and aren't venomous at all. The only risk is that of infection like you could get from any dirty scrape or cut.
