How To make Greek Burgers
1 lb Extra-lean ground beef;
1 cl Garlic; minced
2 tb Fresh lemon juice;
1 ts Dried oregano leaves;
1/4 ts Ground cumin;
1/4 ts Ground pepper;
1 md Size plum tomato;
2 tb Flat-leaf parsley; minced
4 6" whole-wheat pita pocket;
-breads; Romaine lettuce lea; 1 sm Red onion;
Mix ground beef, garlic; lemon juice, oregano leaves; cumin, pepper, plum tomato, and parsley. Form into 4 patties about 3/4" thick. Grill or broil, 4" from souce of heat, ofr 3 minutes, for 3 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Cut the top thrie off each of four 6" whole-wheat pita pocket breads. Turn the cut-off piece round side down; tuck inside to pocket bread to reinforce bottom. Place a grilled burger in each pocket bread along with a romaine lettuce leaf and paper-thin slices from 1 sm red onion. Pass 1/4 cup Cilantro Chutney (page 218) to spoon into burgers. Note: These hamburgers could be made with lean ground lamb. Biftekia is greek grund meat patties (beef, lamb or pork).
They have delicious Greek flavors.
Serve the patties with feta cheese, salad, tzatziki, french fries or pita bread.
Tzatziki recipe:
ingredients:
2 lbs (900 gram) Graound beef ( you can use pork or lamb )
One Onion Finely chopped
Handful of Parsley Finely chopped
One Clove of garlic Finely chopped
Dried Mint 2 tsp
Dried Oregano 2 tsp
Olive oil 3 tbsp
Salt 1,5 tsp
Bread crumbs 1/4 cup (0,6 dl)
Black pepper 1/2 tsp
One egg
Marinade Time: 2 Hours
Cooking Time: 16 min

How To Make Greek Inspired Burgers - By One Kitchen Episode 112
This is my recipe for greek inspired burgers. The best burgers I have EVER made. So good!
You will need:
Minced beef
Soft feta cheese
Chopped parsley
Crushed garlic
Chopped onion
Salt and pepper to taste
Burgerbuns and the filling you want
Mix feta cheese, parsley, onion and garlic together. Filled the beef with it and then add some salt and pepper on. Fry them in a pan until done and build your burger!
