How To make Greek Burgers
1 lb Extra-lean ground beef;
1 cl Garlic; minced
2 tb Fresh lemon juice;
1 ts Dried oregano leaves;
1/4 ts Ground cumin;
1/4 ts Ground pepper;
1 md Size plum tomato;
2 tb Flat-leaf parsley; minced
4 6" whole-wheat pita pocket;
-breads; Romaine lettuce lea; 1 sm Red onion;
Mix ground beef, garlic; lemon juice, oregano leaves; cumin, pepper, plum tomato, and parsley. Form into 4 patties about 3/4" thick. Grill or broil, 4" from souce of heat, ofr 3 minutes, for 3 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Cut the top thrie off each of four 6" whole-wheat pita pocket breads. Turn the cut-off piece round side down; tuck inside to pocket bread to reinforce bottom. Place a grilled burger in each pocket bread along with a romaine lettuce leaf and paper-thin slices from 1 sm red onion. Pass 1/4 cup Cilantro Chutney (page 218) to spoon into burgers. Note: These hamburgers could be made with lean ground lamb. Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
½ cup fresh spinach leaves chopped
⅓ cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped (DID NOT USE)
1/4 cup red onion minced
¼ cup feta cheese crumbled
2 cloves garlic pressed or minced
1 egg whisked
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
hamburger buns
Fresh spinach leaves
Sliced red oinon
tomato
sliced cucumber
For the mayo
3/4 cup mayo
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon dry dill
salt and pepper
Instructions
In a large bowl, add the ground beef, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, red onion and feta. In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, egg, olive oil, dried oregano, paprika, and kosher salt and pepper then pour over the beef and mix with your hands to combine. Divide the burgers . Place on a cutting board or plate dividing the patties with parchment paper and refrigerated for 30 minutes up to overnight.
(*note..You could also individually freeze the patties at this point for up to 3 months.)
To make the mayo mix all of the ingredients together...
Cook burgers in a skillet over med. heat. Avoid high heat because the outside will burn too quickly.
Add topping & enjoy

Greek Burgers
Serves: 1
1 Lean
3 Greens
3 Condiments
2 Revolution Rolls (1/3 lean and 1.33 condiments)
2.95 oz. raw Ground Turkey or 2.50 cooked (1/2 lean)
1 C. Spinach or 1.06 oz. (1 green)
½ C. Tomatoes Sliced or 3.17 oz. (1 green)
½ C. Shredded Cucumber or 1.83 oz. (1 green)
1 Tsp. Minced or Grated Onion (1/3 cond)
1 Tsp. Fresh Minced Garlic (1/4 cond)
1 Tbsp. Fresh Parsley (1/4 cond)
½ Tsp. Lemon Juice (1/4 cond)
½ Tsp. Oregano (1/2 cond)
2 Tsp. Crumbled Reduced Fat Feta Cheese (1/3 cond)
0.88 oz. Plain 2% Greek Yogurt (1/4 lean)
Chop all the herbs really fine and add them to the raw ground turkey. Mince the onion right over the same bowl including the juices or you can also use dry minced onions. Add the fresh minced garlic.
Mix everything together with your hands and form a burger patty. Make an indent in the middle for even cooking (prevents the patty from forming a dome).
Cook your patty on a skillet until completely cooked on medium heat.
In a bowl shred the cucumbers add the lemon juice, add the Greek yogurt and toss gently until well combined. Add the feta cheese and fold carefully so the chunks don’t break too much.
Grab a revolution bun and add your patty, top it off with spinach, tomato slices and the cucumber/yogurt sauce. Place another bun on top and Enjoy!!!

Ingredients
Servings: 2
8oz. Ground Beef (230g)
2 Tablespoons Tomatoes
2 Tablespoons Parsley
2 Tablespoons Onions
1 Garlic Clove
1 Tablespoon Beef Broth
1 Teaspoon Thyme
1/3 Cup breadcrumbs (0,75dl)
Black Pepper
Directions
1. Start with chopping tomatoes, parsley, onions and garlic
2. In a large bowl add the ground beef, tomatoes, parsley, onions, garlic, broth, breadcrumbs and the spices
3. Combine them well and then split evenly to form two round patties
4. On medium to high heat cook the patties in butter for 1-2 minutes on each side
5. Build your burgers using bread, salad, onions, yogurt dressing
6. Done! Enjoy
