How To make Hamantashen 2
4 lg Eggs
1/2 c Oil
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 md Orange rind
4 c Flour
2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Vanilla
1/4 ts Salt
Beat eggs, add sugar gradually. Sift flour with baking powder and salt, and add to egg mixture alternately with oil. Add orange rind last. Form into soft dough. Form into a ball and wrap in floured waxed paper. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Break off a piece large enough to roll into a ball about the size of a golf ball. Roll and pat it down and into a circle about 2 - 3 inches in diameter, on top of a floured piece of waxed paper (you may want to flour your hands a little bit, too). Fill with your favorite filling. Roll up the sides and pinch corners together in the shape of a triangle. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or convection bake at 325 for 15-20 minutes, or until LIGHTLY browned. Cool on racks. Suggested fillings: Chocolate chips, M&M's, chocolate kisses, cherry pie filling, apricot jam and marzipan. -----

Mini Hamentashen Cereal! Recipe Included
Hi everyone!
It's time!! I finally put my own twist on the mini cereal trend and I could not be more obsessed with the results! Since Purim is coming up, I thought it would be the perfect time to turn Hamentashen into a cereal form. Just like normal cereal these mini Hamentashen taste great with milk and don't get soggy easily. Now while it looks like they would take a long time to put together, they don't! All you need to do is cut out the mini circles, put a chocolate chip in the middle and fold them like you would a normal Hamentashen.
While you can use any recipe you'd like for these (including a basic sugar cookie recipe) here's my recipe that turned out delicious.
My recipe:
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 4 Tbsp orange juice
- 3 2/3 cup of flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Let me know what you’d like to see me try next!

3. Add egg, vanilla and the zest of a half a lemon and mix for another minute.
4. In a separate bowl, combine baking powder, salt, and 2 cups of the flour.
